Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs which are currently in approximately 24.4% of all U.S. TV households. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

  1. Christopher says:

what a yawn of a night whatched a movie

  2. Tanner says:

I am probably 1 out of 5 that watched both Kings and Harper’s Island.

  3. Christopher says:

but i did tape Eli Stone

  4. GEORGE 11 says:

harpers island was a great episode!!

  5. Adam says:

Tanner, I watched both Kings and H.I too lol Both are great, dont care what anyone says

  6. Nick says:

I’m happy that the Saturday ratings are being posted here and not just being ignored. I watched Harper’s Island. Shame it had to be tossed to Saturday night and canceled just before it started to pick up. The first few eps were kind of mediocre but after that it got really good. Still, at least it’s getting 3.5 million. That’s better than I can say for some other shows that were given better slots during the week, like Dollhouse (which I watch too). Still, I think those got better 18-49 ratings, which I guess is more important (which I don’t really get…why is 18-49 more important than the total number of viewers?).

  7. Jen says:

I watched Harper’s Island. Pretty good episode. Can’t be bothered with Kings anymore, other than Ian McShane it’s terrible.

  8. Mark says:

Harper’s Island was awesome last night!

  9. Jen says:

    I agree Mark :)

  10. huddy80 says:

Harper’s Island was really good last night. There was a lot of drama that unraveled and it is set up for a really great finale in two weeks. This show just got better and better as it went along and it really was a great storyline. It’s really too bad that this show is ending but I can see why they could not make this into a second season.

  11. t says:

Harper’s Island keeps getting better and Kings keeps getting worse i still watch both though
Harper’s island will air a repeat next week and in 2 week will have a 2 hour finale
im still dieing to find out who the 2nd killer is personally i’m thinking Shea

  12. Jen says:

huddy80, I agree with you too, CBS was considering a second season of Harper’s Island but with a different plot and cast if the ratings were good but as we all know the ratings were not good enough so it’s not happening. Too bad though a second season with a different plot and characters would have been interesting.

  13. Christopher says:

i think we need a neww systme i am not a Nelsion house so why doesnt my veiew count i have Cablevsion do i count in ratings or no and i watch all CBS, NBC, ABC and Fox and cw

  14. Jen says:

t, I don’t think it’s Shae, I’m thinking Henry or Jimmy. I think Henry is Abby’s half brother and Jimmy has something to do with what’s been happening, but I think Henry does too.

  15. Alex says:

I came upon E! televsion and again they were showing the exact same SNL episodes. Why?

Seeing Will Ferrel do his Frat boy character on update was funny, but I’d rather watch Adam Sandler and crew do the Greek Gyro guy with the rest of the crew in that sketch that ‘went on too long’. But it was FUNNY! Please, somebody get some network to show those episodes. I’m dying over here!

    ‘You lika the juice?’

  16. Douglas says:

I watched Castle last night because I didn’t start watching Castle until last week with the repeat of the Pilot episode.

  17. matt says:

    Harpers Island was EPIC.

  18. Gerry says:

Repeat Castle in a virtual dead heat with a new Eli Stone

  19. Christopher says:

i stop watching Castle cause i seen ratings where going down i started to watch again when they put it back with Danceing

  20. vasilis latinos says:

Harper’s island is getting better after episode 6! and last night it was awesome!!!too bad it finishes! at least let’s hope we have a great finale

  21. Vinny says:

I didn’t get to c last nights episode of HI I can’t wait to watch it tonight cause I taped with all the good reviews. Last night I was watching castle.but ive seen everybother episode of HI I’m going to watch it now lol.

  22. sam says:

never ever watched Harpers Island before………decided to tape it last night….it is the best show ever i love it!!!

  23. Tyler says:

Harpers Island was tragic! the ending really got me! poor chole and cal!

  24. John says:

t – Jimmy has a police record and tried to take Trish’s gun while she slept. He somehow magically survived a massive explosion set up by Wakefield.

Other than the fact that Shea didn’t seem to care when her husband was killed, what makes you think the accomplice is anyone BUT Jimmy?

  25. Nick says:

I think Jimmy is a red herring. I think he’s just there to throw us off the scent of the real killer. I’m thinking Henry.

  26. RJ says:

I’ve said Henry since the very beginning.

  27. Caleb Fournier says:

I watch both harpers island and kings too. They are both awesome!

  28. romo says:

    abby….abby normal.

  29. derrick says:

i thought Kings was great last night.

  30. AO says:

Harper’s Island was mostly great for me, only because there were a couple of character decisions/horror cliches that really bugged me.

Something is going on with Jimmy, he didn’t just survive the explosion but he also survived another scene in Ep 11 that seemed very suspicious. The Sheriff was also investigating him and in the previews for Ep 12/13 then he told Abby that he had something to “confess”. Maybe it’s not the obvious explanation, but he’s not just a red herring.

  31. Tom says:

I love Harper’s Island. If people aren’t watching it, it’s their loss. I hope a cable network picks up the second season. That said, I can’t believe Cal and Chole are dead. I was shocked.

  32. Bob Terns says:

The REAL king is Michael, of course (or Elvis for the old people.)

    Poor Ian McShane.

  33. My Saturday night and today were spent downloading season one of True Blood and finishing off the one season of Blade – The Series. Got one more episode of True Blood of season one, then I can start on season two.

Then I get to work on season two of Burn Notice, having finished off season one. So many downloads, so little bandwidth…

  34. Jen says:

@Tom, I like Harper’s Island too but there is not going to be a second season. I was also shocked about Cal and Chloe although I liked Cal better, Chloe got under my skin. I really hope Sully is next he bugs me.

  35. Anna says:

Harper’s Island has really been a great ride! Wish more of this would be on every summer. Love it!! I wonder if more people are DVRing it like me? I also watched a couple of eps online, I guess that doesn’t count either.

I think that Jimmy was working with the Sheriff as an undercover type cop or to protect Abby for him. I also think that Henry is the other killer – there are ALOT of suspicious things that he has done and instead of over protecting Abby it seems to be more controlling. Can’t wait for the finale.

  36. jim.bravura says:

Harper’s Island was terrible. Idiots had tons of opportunities of killing Wakefield and they failed. And I’m going to be pissed if Jimmy is the second killer (hopefully the last scene was suppose to distract our attention from Henry or Sully ;) ).

  37. Bad Robot ! says:

Michael Jackson is the King of Pop? Which is it? Coke or Pepsi?

  38. J. Norman says:

I just discovered Castle last week. It was recommended to me. I’ve now watched 2 of its episodes in repeats. Good show and it will be on at a good time (for me anyway) of 10:00 Mondays in the fall. I’ll definitely give it a shot in the fall.

  39. Bad Robot, Pepsi! How can there even be any question of that? For all I know you weren’t even alive in 1984 when his hair caught fire filming a Pepsi commercial (while singing Billie Jean) when there was a special effects malfunction. I’m sure you can find videos on You Tube if you search “michael jackson pepsi commercial hair on fire”

  40. Kyle says:

I’m thinking of buying the 2 seasons of Eli Stone on dvd…. is it a good show?

  41. Steve says:

Harper’s Island is one of the best shows on TV, and I’m very surprised that CBS did not pick it up for another season next summer.

Having loved murder mysteries all my life, and it sounding like Agatha Christie’s 10 Little Indians/And Then There Were None, I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that the second killer is Booth.

Booth is Wakefield’s son and Abby’s 1/2 brother and he helped Wakefield with the murders…..let’s hope I’m right, cause if it’s Henry or Jimmy I will be disappointed.

  42. Master Moron says:

Kyle, Eli Stone is a terrible show, don’t waste your money. Like the title implies, you have to be stoned to enjoy it. It has annoying characters and preachy plots, not to mention terrible musical numbers.

  43. T says:

Joel Booth is not the killer the producer confirmed everyone who is dead is dead 100% he double confirmed booth
the main killer is confirmed as one of :Shea,Trish,Abby,Madison ,Henry,Jimmy,Sully,Danny.

  44. Jim says:

I must be one of the only people who like Eli Stone (kinda like Boston Legal lite) and Kings. Too bad. Get rid of all of those vapid reality shows. I just don’t get their appeal.

    Jim

  45. boomdizzle2 says:

I’ve said Jimmy was the partner for the last 5 episodes, but when they id’d him this week, I agree he is a red herring and it will be a son/daughter of wakefield. Great show after the first few episodes, for this concept to work it has to catch a buzz right away so it doesn’t get banished to Saturdays immediately.

  46. Mark says:

Harper’s Island was EPIC!! I cried when Cal and Chloe died! It’s one of the best shows ever! I wish CBS would of picked it up for another season next summer!

  47. Boris says:

“Bad Robot, Pepsi! How can there even be any question of that?”

Mnemonic: Coke burned Richard Pryor, Pepsi burned Michael Jackson.

  48. Michelle says:

KIngs is awesome and there is a growing fan-base for those that know it exists, since there is virtually no advertisement.

  49. Michelle says:

In response to Jim’s statement that he “must be one of the only people who like[s] it, that is certainly not true. Have you seen this petition:http://tvseriesfinale.com/articles/kings-petition/
    There are new signatures everyday.

  50. Bill Gorman says:

Michelle, I believe TV Series Finale’s motto is “Bring me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses of desperate fans yearning to save a show beyond saving”

  51. G says:

Harper’s Island was awful. The episode before last was very good, I definitely enjoyed it, but this one was so bad it made all of the characters look like morons.

How many of them had guns and couldn’t shoot Wakefield when he was standing there, or ran out of the room cowardly and someone else died? And no one can fight with him physically at all, even several of the men? Does the killer have super strength too that they didn’t mention?

Kings, however, has still been decent.
