Shem, i dont hate NBC but the only thing i like on there is Deal or No Deal and the last i remember, the show only averaged a 1.2 rating in adults 18-49, which is sad.

Mark, all the networks have trouble starting up new shows except CBS. The thing is, networks never give shows a chance to succeed and gain an audience especially ABC. I know they are the worst and i hope they stop cancelling shows. Still mad they cancelled Samantha Who which does do better than Better Off Ted.

And Shows like Greys Anatomy and Desperate Housewives can easily last another 10 years. Look at ER which lasted 15 years on NBC.

Just watch Bed Off Ted on abc.com. It was by the far the funniest episode. I hope that people are watching it online like myself. Does ABC announce the amount of hits on their website each month?

mark: i liked the unusuals a lot too. but sadly that one is gone for good.

i think abc has more of a problem in finding shows that can immediately perform as well as their well established shows.

ABC may be in trouble if it can only stick to the shows it has now. They’ve had trouble starting up new shows. And Grey’s Anatomy and Desperate Housewives cant be on forever. The only new ABC shows that were good are CASTLE and Better Off Ted.

saw the first episode of BOT and i didn’t like it but ended up watching another episode later and laughed a lot and then watched another one and it was terrible
that show kinda changes a lot on me

rob, one episode may very well be enough to know if you really dislike a show or are totally bored. sometimes it is even enough to know what the show is about to know that not watching is time well spend on doing anything else (recent CW remakes come to mind in my case)

i personally really like BOT a lot (especially the commercials) but i wouldn´t say that it is a concept that everybody has to like.

i just hope that the show at least survives another full season thanks to cheap production.

Riff, never watched either show, so I cannot comment on the contents, but BOT fans are exhibiting more and more “Moonlighty” symptoms, and if current course and speed hold true, BOT will, at best, be on the bubble.

oh and another thing Master Moron, i wasnt comparing Im a Celebrity to Better Off Ted. I was comparing it to The Superstars. The Superstars is way better. I couldnt sit 5 minutes of that Im a Celebity. It was soo boring!!!!!

Oh and NBC’s got Talent and ABC’s got nothing? Wait until the Fall when NBC struggles to get a 2.0 18-49 rating and ABC has Dancing with the Stars, Desperate Housewives, Private Practice, Brothers and Sisters, and who can forget how good Greys Anatomy does.

master moron, better off ted has gotten a lot better since the 1st 2 episodes. i admit they werent that great but once the 3rd episode aired, the rest of the episodes after and including the 3rd episode have been great.

cant believe how some people watch 1 episode and determine how good it can be. people are such retards. u gotta give a show a chance, then if u still dont like it, then dont watch it!

Mark, I watched the first episode of Better Off Ted, don’t think I laughed once. I tuned in for the second episode and after about five minutes I said to myself “Why the hell am I watching this crap?” and shut off the TV.

Before the 2008-9 season, Robert and I talked about which show would be the “Moonlight” for the season. That is, which marginal show would provoke the most outsized internet fan reaction to its potential cancellation. I don’t recall if either of us was prescient enough to pick any of the shows that turned out to fall into that category (Pushing Daisies in the fall, Terminator, Chuck in the spring), but I can tell now that Better Off Ted’s going to be on my list for next season!
