  1. Anonymous says:

Wow, no “new lows” this week?
Things must be turning around for the soaps!

  2. Tyler says:

while im happy that one life to live is finally getting some viewers to tune in, im shocked about days! things have been going well for them, but now they’re number 5?

  3. Tyler says:

ha! just kidding, they didnt have ratings for thursday and friday. maybe that hurt them?

  4. Andrea2 says:

The Friday repeat did pretty well for CBS soaps. ABC soaps were all considerably down on Friday with the repeat episode, on the other hand CBS repeat outdelivered some originals in all soaps

  5. Tanner says:

I didn’t think ATWT was a repeat on Friday? I watched and thought it was new?

  6. Andrea2 says:

” didn’t think ATWT was a repeat on Friday? I watched and thought it was new?”

ah, ok, I misread the thing. ABC soaps were “repeat-did not count” while CBS was just “did not count”.
It explains the viewing not dropping

  7. Shem says:

Why the CBS soaps ratings did not count on Friday? I’m shocked at days also and I expected OLTL to do better. I wonder if OLTL can reach over 3mil?

  8. William says:

Looks like Days Of Our Lives was hurt by the pre-emptions due to Wimbledon. The Jackson funeral will defiantely hurt all the shows this week.

  9. forg says:

Guiding Light is really dead, no 11th hour renewal for the show I guess

  10. Bad Robot ! says:

Guiding Light should go out with a bang. Maybe Edmund Winslow could smuggle a North Korean nuclear weapon into Springfield and there are 2 wires to be cut, one red one blue. Everyone yells “Cut the red wire!!”, the wire is cut and there is bright flash – game over. The finale would have special guest star Kim Jong Il as himself.

  11. ohiogirl says:

Days is doing just fine. They were #1 ahead of Y&R in the prime 18-49, and in the top 2 in every category except the teeny-boppers( not as big of a ‘high school’ cast as there used to be for the summer)and men(they watch Y&R at lunchtime…Days is on later in most areas). Y&R will always be #1 as long as they are ruling the lunchroom. Most viewing areas have them up against noon news or local broadcasting…not a lot of competition there.

  12. ohiogirl says:

…needs to be added that Wimbledon pre-empted Days twice last week, and they still were #5 in viewers and #3 in HH. of the pack in over …quite a feat!-Not to mention the Michael Jackson coverage affecting all shows.
