NEW YORK–July 14, 2009–Nickelodeon’s iCarly–which quarter to date ranks as the number-one kids program on broadcast and basic cable with tweens 9-14, and is the number-one program with kids and the top kid-targeted program with total viewers (P2+) year to date–was basic cable’s top-ranked kids’ show for the week (7/6/09-7/12/09) with 5.2 million total viewers (+154% in delivery over last year).

The brand-new episode of iCarly “iTwins” (Saturday, July 11, 8 p.m. ET/PT) also swept the week across all key kid and tween demographics (kids 2-11, kids 6-11 and tweens 9-14) on both broadcast and basic cable television, averaging an 8.5/1.8 million T9-14 (+193%), a 9.5/2.0 million K6-11 (+157%), and a 7.3/2.6 million K2-11 (+128%).

Starring Miranda Cosgrove and now nominated for four TEEN Choice Awards, Nickelodeon’s iCarly ended 2Q09 as the number-one program on all of broadcast and cable with tweens 9-14 and kids 6-11, and was the number-one live action program among Kids 2-11. iCarly is also cable’s top kids’ program among total viewers (source: NMR, Live + 7 Day from 3/30/08; Live + Same Day from 6/14/09-6/28/09) for the year to date.

I have to admit ICarly doesn't always make my laugh the same way Hannah Montana does but for some reason I'm more attached to the IC characters. Could care less about the other Disney or Nick shows however.

i like iCarly but the quailty of the show. Is NOT the same as some on disney there are better Nick shows. Ratings are not always the best thing to have. Thats the reason why Hannah Monatna is worth a Billione dollers and iCarly is barly worth 6million dollors.

i think there is other shows on tv for kids and teens that are better than stupid icarly!!!!!!

    that show is horriable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • WTH DISNEY?
The only reason iCarly is #1 for the half of 2009 is because Disney made a bold and dumb decision by not airing episodes of The Suite Life on Deck which as I recalled beat ALL of these shows in the ratings and was #1 for September 2008 to May 2009. Disney then decided not to air new episodes of the series and let their news makers, Sonny with a Chance and JONAS become their top new priority. I hope that Disney has learned it's lesson. SLOD was the only reason Disney was on top, without the channel doesn't have strong stable ratings. Just because the stars of On Deck do not make and do not receive as much media attention and promotion as the stars of JONAS, Sonny and Wizards means NOTHING! The SLOD cast is sensation and Disney still doesn't have a clue.. that is exactly why they barely promote SLOD. SCREW DISNEY! Based on SLOD's ratings for the past months, it is a mega smash hit! AIR MORE EPISODES OF SLOD AND STOP PROMOTING THE LOWEST RATED SHOWS ON TV!
