updated to change from 4.5 rounding to 4.46, and to include 18-49 demo info.

Not to beat it to a bloody pulp, but True Blood set another record Sunday night with 4.5 4.46 million viewers checking in on average for the 9pm airing on Sunday night.  That eclipses last week’s 4.43 million.  Sunday night’s 9pm airing also scored a 2.3/6 (rating/share) with adults 18-49 (same as last week) and was the #12 most-watched program in primetime for the week in the 18-49 demographic.

  2. themsnumbers says:

@trueblood it’s a good thing that’s a meaningless number that doesn’t do anything to indicate how many times someone rewatches the show.

  3. themsnumbers says:

Hm, the comment I was replying to got deleted before I hit submit. :\

    Yes , GO True Blood!!

  5. Jon says:

Very good for True Blood with another series high, 5m+ for the finale seems a cert but 6m is looking likely too.

  6. Drew says:

Woohoo! This is delicious news. The viewership trend is steadily up, and right now the show is bloodstirring good.

Perhaps next week the bad pun can be “4.x million lookies for Sookie.”

  7. Lanie Grace says:

I really expect that we will see increase upon increase to the finale. It is that good of a show.

  8. @themsnumbers — I deleted the comment you referenced not because of its content, but because the guy posting them is an annoying spammy tool.

  9. Eric says:

I expect Vampire Diaries, a show I know nothing about except that it’s CW… to be horrible Twilightish nonsense for tweens and teens.

Great episode this week w/ True Blood though. It is easily the best serialized softcore porn I’ve ever had ‘the pleasure’ of watching.

  10. Visan says:

    Can we get Entourage numbers?

  13. Eric and Sookie “preview” must have helped.

And I was right about Godric…

Do not get involved with True Blood characters (except the two leads) – they get killed off the next week.

  14. Guybrush says:

It’s nice to see that True Blood managed to break last week’s record, even though this wasn’t an action-packed episode like the previous two, but more of a silent power.

I’m starting to fall in love with Jessica, by the way :p

  15. Bloomfield says:
