  1. Michael says:

I liked Terminator, but best drama? Really? I don’t see it. IMO, Big Bang Theory should get best comedy, most anticipated series should be Flash Forward or V, etc. Man, the only thing on here that I agree with is best villian.

  2. Doug says:

Wow, the fan sites weren’t active in that one…

  3. Kathy B. says:

I know I’m a huge Supernatural fan but, I believe the show would have won some of these categories had they not put in multiple entries for the show in the same categories. If they added together the votes in the categories, I wonder how it would have done. It did place second in a number of categories.

  4. Julia says:

Ha, yeah, Doug, not at all.

  5. Pete says:

Bah. Now expect a press release from Fox about Glee winning and completely overlooking Terminator and its fans. Again.

I hate you Kevin Reilly. I hate you with a passion.

  6. Julia says:

Um. Pete, this is TWOP fan awards. Maybe I’m not remembering correctly, but I don’t think networks care about these at all.

  7. Chad says:

“New Series with the Most Wasted Potential: “Dollhouse” (Fox)”

Ow. Can’t argue that. DH has a neat premise but devolved into playing dress-up with Eliza Dushku. “Easy on the eyes” can only go so far.

I’m also 100% convinced that angry TSCC fans had nothing to do with the votes either.

  8. buffywrestling says:

I’m surprised there even was a press release for an internet poll.

  9. anonymous says:

But these pools have ZERO meaning.

  10. anonymous says:

I forgot to add: let me guess, the same person could even vote multiple times…

  11. MC says:

Yea, those awards were garbage. It’s pretty clear the TSCC mafia was botting up a storm again (both in favor of TSCC and against their “nemesis” Dollhouse).

Best drama? Please. Most underrated? Most overrated maybe. Favorite Actress? I love Summer as much as anyone but…no, not for favorite actress.

  12. Sara N. says:

An excellent example of internet ballot-box stuffing. C’mon TSSC fans, the show wasn’t that good, and it is NOT coming back.

  13. The1337 says:

I love it when TSCC fans insist they aren’t cheating. TWoP has a huge slant toward J.J. Abrams regardless of the merits of his shows.

  14. marco says:

TSCC is my favorite show. No other show has captured my interest like it. Why can’t I vote it as the best drama on TV? I don’t think there is any ballot box stuffing either. The show has a strong, passionate fan base and when given the opportunity to support the show, fans will vote. Also, even though the ratings were not great for the series, it has always done well critically.

  15. Chad says:

You can razz the TSCC fans on this if you like.

    Least Favorite Actress
    Winner: Katherine Heigl (Grey’s Anatomy)
TWoP Staff Pick: Eliza Dushku (Dollhouse)

Oh wait, it’s not just disgruntled TSCC fans that noticed.

  16. Julia says:

I don’t think there is any ballot box stuffing either.

Marco, everyone prior to you who said they didn’t think it was the TSCC fans voting repeatedly was being facetious. ;)

  17. j says:

It got a B- from critics for both seasons, which is decent but not that good. And the critics’ assn refused to give a single nom for their awards, not even, like, Best New Show. Unless Emmy noms for Stunts & Special Effects count as critical support.

But really the show won like half the total categories; I don’t think that’s really an accurate depiction of the average TWOP reader so much as the power-voting of a vocal minority.

  18. Dan says:

I love all the arsesore TSCC haters. Because stupid people don’t like it when shows that require people to think get anywhere, even if it is an insignificant internet poll. And people who like shows that suck don’t like it when better shows receive good press, even when said shows brought in over half of the viewers of the show the arsesore hater is badmouthing. Well done.

  19. Deed1 says:

    Cool, TSCC rocks!

  20. Cody says:

I love TSCC, I like dollhouse,(embrace the paradox baby) the crazy fan standpoint i thought Kevin Reily was an idiot. But from a business standpoint i understand 100% why TSCC was canceled. I would love to see FOX and the WB throw us a bone in some way (direct to dvd movie, graphic novel, season 3 :) ) Fans keep up the good work, if we saw anything from firefly it may work. But do it respectfully and with civility because you can’t make your point effectively if your as crazed a 3 dot Sarah Connor.

  21. anonymous says:

    @Dan:
I’m the same anonymous that wrote that these pools have zero meaning.
And I can assure you, my statement had nothing to do with TSCC.
Really, not the whole tv world rotate around TSCC of DH or Chuck.

The thought of TSCC didn’t even cross my mind.(by the way, I’ve watch only 1 episode of it, maybe the last one or the second to last, so I can’t comment on the quality of it)

I’ve only said that because 2.4 million votes are a huge numbers for an internet site and because of this it was clear that many people voted several times.

And for me this invalites the reliability of the pool.

I like The Closer. If The Closer had won, I would have say the same, because in no way that show is more popular or “in” than True Blood or Lost, to make an example. (not only rating-wise, but also DVD-wise, buzz-wise etc. etc.)

  22. nick says:

This is nothing new. If you’ve EVER seen ANY online polls that involve Terminator, it always wins. They have quite a crazy fanbase. Or some kind of vote rigging technology. Not sure which. :P I like the show, but it really isn’t that good. Not anywhere NEAR that good.

  23. Randomguy1 says:

Didn’t the voting for the Tubey’s start back in June?? Anyways congratulations to the winners!

  24. BetterThanYou says:

Ah, the sad whining of TSCC haters. If you don’t enjoy good tv, don’t watch it, but to say “it’s not nearly that good” is a near plead for ignorance. The show easily stood up to the likes of “Lost” (which I also love), flaws and all. Best drama? I can see it. I certainly agree here anyway.

You can all whine, kick and scream that “the show wasn’t that good,” but it still won a little poll. If that hurts you in some way– Well I’d say I apologize, but… I’m really not sorry. That’s your own fault.

  25. Bill Gorman says:

Tell me why we’re still talking about TSCC again? Might as well be talking about Gunsmoke.

  26. tvmegafan says:

YAYA True Blood, Lets hope they get an emmy in there new category…Vote for True Blood here:
    http://www.tv.com/breakthrough/?tag=specialfeature;2

  27. JC says:

tscc fans will never go away
tscc won all the categories it was nominated for
it doesnt mean much but it means something

  28. Schmacky says:

So some are insinuating that SCC only won because the votes were spammed? Umm, if that’s the case, doesn’t every fandom have that opportunity? Or is it that the SCC fans have some kind of secret advantage in voting for internet polls that any other fandom doesn’t know about? Or, it could just be that people like SCC..

  29. Kirirur says:

Well, I don’t see the point of some. The poll runs for months, it’s obvious (and I think that was the intention) that people had the occasion to vote multiple times.

Each fan of each show had the occasion to vote multiple times.

I love Lost, for example, but I felt more involved with TSCC. I had watched a lot of TV shows in my life and for me this is the first time I felt so involved in one. Ok, it wasn’t perfect, but it was really good. Try to watch it carefully one time, try to follow the line, try to understand what is hidden between the lines, you’ll find it’s good. Damn good.

  30. AO says:

To Kirirur and any others who don’t understand why an intelligent person would automatically dismiss any poll that allows for unlimited votes by the public, please try thinking about it. If you still can’t figure it out then please ask for assistance, but I would like to believe that the answer is simple enough that just about everyone can figure it out on their own.

  31. AO says:

To any other T:SCC fans in this thread who are condescending, belittling and insulting to those who “aren’t intelligent enough to appreciate T:SCC” then please stop! All that does is make the T:SCC fanbase look like total douchebags when the reality is that the complete douches only constitute a minority.

I watched every episode of T:SCC S1 & 2 each week and the show is not as “intelligent” as you guys seem to think. It was ambitious and had a huge amount of potential, but there were many instances where it didn’t live up to that potential. If you guys loved it 100% then great, but if I WERE a douche then I would say that anyone who CAN’T see the flaws isn’t very smart. Anyone who can’t comprehend why someone else would have different tastes isn’t smart at all.

Fortunately, I wouldn’t say that, because unlike the few T:SCC rude fans that have posted previously (not all, but those who have been rude), I’m not in the habit of being a condescending jerk.

  32. Koltan says:

TSCC rulezzz! But to get this, you should have a brain, baby!

  33. Koltan says:

@AO, TSCC is a drama. It should not be compared to action movies Terminator 1-2. And also, it’s better to get used fast to new John and Sarah Connors and to absence of Governator. This is the only way to get the story, which is told in the show. When I watched it first time, I was sceptical and too busy with comparing it to what I’ve seen before. So, I missed the TSCC itself. But then I re-watched it from the beginning, several episodes per day and being already used to the new actors. And, man, I’ve understood the level of it’s greatness. This show is ingenious, like the people who created it. And I’m not suprised, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles winning in most nominations. Those, who get into it, become the unstoppable crazy fans, ready to spend money, time and efforts to support the show. Just like me…

I hihgly recommend everybody to watch the TSCC again without having to wait a week for the next episode. The DVD/BD of the second season will be released in one week.

Message to Warner Bros.: WE WANT MORE TSCC!!!

  34. Will says:

Yeah, gripe all you want, TSCC deserves what it gets, not only was it the best show, but it did so while living up to the standards of an established franchise. That makes things much more difficult, the show completely demolished the competition. Anyone who wants to complain, has a right to, including all you “Tvbythenumbers” people who constantly said this show would be canceled, and it never was for the full two years. Don’t be suprised if you are wrong again and this show makes a come back…

September 22nd when the DVD comes out for S2 on blu ray and dvd.

  35. Jake1 says:

I didn’t like T4 that much, they should of spent that $200 million on 4 seasons of TSCC instead :) . Anyways it’s always going to be T1, T2, and TSCC for me.

  36. Etienne says:

TSCC fans are unstoppable. What kind of technology did they use to win every polls? SkyNet! ;)

I’m not surprised to read many comments bashing TSCC and TSCC fans. TVBN is an anti-TSCC site. Nothing new there.

I’ve got something for you TSCC haters: 22th september is the release of TSCC season 2 on DVD/Blueray. Look the sales skyrocket on Amazon. We can’t trick those numbers!

…Ok, yes we can but it will cost us money… ;)

  37. starkiller says:

For the record I didn’t vote for Dollhouse to win the categories it did, I skipped the ones I didn’t care about.
Also, I didn’t use a bot on this poll, either. No need to, we pimped it pretty hard every week on the forums, in the chat room and on twitter, we didn’t do anything any other fans couldn’t have done. We won the categories we did fair and square even with the TSCC vote splitting in some of them that made it really hard to choose.

  38. tskpft says:

    @starkiller

Well said. If your all so annoyed that your favourite show didnt win then maybe you should try organising your fanbase to a tenth of the efficiency of the TSCC fanbase. For the record we didnt use any spambots. Did we vote multible times? I’m sure many of us (myself included) did. But what was stopping any of you from doing the same? Its like someone who doesnt vote complaining about the government they have.

    TSCC won fairly. End of.

  39. Bill Gorman says:

Tell me again why we’re still talking about TSCC?

  40. Julia says:

Bill, didn’t you know that the show isn’t dead? It’s totally going to be picked up for a third season! And there’s a movie in the works! It’s going to be a feature, none of this DTV crap for TSCC!

  41. Koltan says:

    @Bill Gorman,

Maybe, because TSCC, being dead, had won 16 nominations. Something, that none of alive shows could do?

Or because the huge wordwide audience wants TSCC back. And they will get it back for sure?

Or because TSCC is simply the best sci-fi TV show of last 10 years?

  42. Bill Gorman says:

@Koltan, “Or because the huge wordwide audience wants TSCC back. And they will get it back for sure?”

I’ll have one of what you’re smoking, please. ;)

  43. Koltan says:

@Bill Gorman, hahaha! :) Here you go, but be aware, after having it, you’ll become the die-hard TSCC fan )))

  44. TSCCfanatic says:

    Wooooooooooooo

  45. I told ya. T:SCC fans are the new browncoats.

I bet they’ll be invading every forum discussing science fiction on TV from now until eternity talking about how T:SCC was the greatest show ever and how Fox sucks and how Fox didn’t give the show the chance it deserved and… and… kind of the Internet/TV equivalent of Liverpudlians.

One hopes that Dollhouse fans will not respond the same way should Dollhouse fail to take off this year.

  46. Where says:

Where were all of these Terminator fans when the show was actually on the air?

And if it’s the best scifi show of the last ten years, then what about all of the people who bored from it, no matter how many times they tried watching?

  47. Koltan says:

    @Where,

TSCC is actually on the air now in some countries. There are countries, where the second season is just started or is not started yet. So, the Resistance grows from day to day, no matter, that show has been already cancelled.

What is the best sci-fi show of last 10 years in your opinion?

  48. james says:

TSCC was the best I’ve seen. I Loved Firefly also but it was canceled by Fox too.

  49. Chris the TV Sage says:

@AO: “I’m not in the habit of being a condescending jerk.”

    :)

  50. Xen says:

    @Where:
“Where were all of these Terminator fans when the show was actually on the air?”

They were watching it. Whether it was live, dvr’d, or on the internet. The problem with “low ratings” on live tv is not because people are not watching it, its because of Nielson Ratings. One person is counted for about 100,000. So hillbilly Joe is watching Dancing With The Stars because his hillbilly wife , Clarita, insists on it. While you have thousands of intelligent people without a Nielson box, watching the show, watching the advertisements, but they don’t count apparently.

That’s bullsh!t. Nielson must be stopped, and I can’t believe it has made it this far. It’s ignorance and laziness, the problem with America.

“And if it’s the best scifi show of the last ten years, then what about all of the people who bored from it, no matter how many times they tried watching?”

Kind of like all the idiots who watch The Matrix and just can’t wrap their little mind around what’s happening.

And don’t start with your “condescending TSCC fans” attitude because I’m just pushing back after being bullied. It angers me when people who have no stake in what’s going on have the will to put a show down because they can’t stand something intelligent getting recognition. How does it hurt them? It doesn’t. They do it out of jealousy and hate. I don’t see their shows getting axed, so what’s the problem, why do they care?

  51. Julia says:

It’s ignorance and laziness, the problem with America.

Kinda funny coming from a comment filled with as much ignorance as yours. ;)

  52. Koltan says:

The Freaking Big Mobile Billboard has started its route!

    http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/2239/billboard.jpg

    TSCC FTW!
