Glenn Beck– 3,421,000 viewers (723,000) (1,478,000)
The power of Glenn Beck and the ACORN story (that no one else is covering).
Way to go Fox and Crew!
I’m sure Sharon’s head is going to explode and she’ll come on here spewing crap as always.
Beck’s numbers will soon exceed O’Reilly’s.
It’s excruciating to watch Matthews, Obermann & Maddow.
They are way too smug and their diatribe is really very caustic and vicious.
MSNBC, there is a reason you are losing viewers!
Those are O’Reilly’s best numbers since inauguration week.
Wow why did Hannity do so well?
O’Reilly is the Number 1 anchor on TV at the present moment.
Interesting numbers the past few weeks. Clearly the polarization of the Country has never been more intense. Some of it is fueled by the intensity of the programing by such different perspectives as “uber liberal” Keith Obermann and defacto liberterian Glen Beck. They both fuel intense reactions; arbuable not all together healthy if interpreted by extremes in our society. Most of us are near the center politically; center right or center left. But the 24 hour news cycle that seems the thrive and sensationism, sarcasm, anger, reactionary, fear, etc. further moves reasonable people to take up sides and become increasingly polarized politically. Further, liberals listen mostly to other liberals, and the same idea with conservatives. Even though I find most of Fox News to be more objective (with some exceptions) and probing than NBC (MSNC) or CNN I think all are somewhat guilty. I have found Keith Obermann to be just overaly cynical and outright disrespectful to anyone other than the hard left. He is just a nast, egotistical man that loves to show off his face and antics. Arguably Beck is somewhat the same on the right, although not as cynical or in love with his looks all the time. I have found Chris Matthews to be just sort of worn out and disfunctional. He has been around the block too long and has unfortunatelyt become another uber liberal (not the case a few years ago). Bill O’Reily on Fox should be commended on having both liberals and conservatives on his show to generally debate an issue in a civilized manner; his show is getting better all the time. I am impressed with Morning Joe on MSNBC where Joe Scarborough (center right) is teamed up with Mika Brzinski (center left); probably the best pairing on TV. Discussions are generally very civil with honest debate. Given this show is on MSNBC it is skewed left however with its guest, but I think this show is as close to reasonable and serious discussion/debate as there is on television. What do you think?
I feel sorry for Scarborough… he’s the ONLY balanced one there at MSNBC, Don’t care much for Mika but as you say, it’s a good pairing (so far). When I occasionally watch, and they’re talking about some serious issue, she always seems annoyed at everything. But as Joe has shown in the past, he doesn’t take any crap from anyone especially Keith and Chris!
The “polarization” that you describe already began on day one of Bush’s presidency, not Obama’s as so many would accuse us of. Anyone still remember the presidentail limo covered in eggs when Bush was enroute to the inauguration on the 1st term?
Politics (and polititians) have always been corrupt (with a few exceptions) and it’s only now within the past decade or so with the advent of the internet and 24hr news channels that the “watchful eyes” have gotten bigger.
In Cronkite’s day, Washington was afraid of him and kept a low profile because America watched Walter every night. When Walter retired, no one took over the reigns of being “America’s watchdog” figure. Now since Fox has stood on their “fair and balanced” approach (even with a few skews here and there occasionally) they now have taken the title of the “new watchdogs” with Beck leading the charge.
Oh; did Morning Joe show the Acorn scandals? Did they try to stop this racism smear that is going on? I want to hear about issues which concern my future, Czars. Acorn, Cap and Trade, health Care, BIG BIG BIG OUT OF CONTROL GOVERNMENT SPENDING!!!!!! BUT I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR I AM A RACIST. Glenn Beck did not put on a show about racism as Brian Williams did, for Williams and the other whacked out media clearly that is much more a bigger issue than Acorn “BIG GOVERNMENT”!!!!
Oberman has penis envy …
No question Fox is killing the competition but it’s worth noting MSNBC posted some good numbers compared to what they’ve done in the past few months. Based on my tracking data it looks like that’s the highest number for Rachel Maddow in months. The increased interest in politics because of the healthcare debate really helps Fox but it may also be helping MSNBC a bit.
Sharon, your a retard .. put the crack pipe down and move away slowly..
To Infantryman…. I don’t think anyone could’ve said it better! LMAO!!
To TD…. I really don’t think anything is helping BSNBC, the numbers will be short lived. People can only take so much of being called “hate mongers and racists” before realising that the shows in question are all BS.
And now with that fool Carter calling everyone racists along with some new faces on the hill, the argument is going to get real old real fast.
The nutjobs are running out of things to accuse of of being.

The bump for BSNBC is because school break is over, vacations are ended, and the far left students have come back from there communes, or there rich daddies yacht, and are now learning more about the greatness of the socialist ideals. That’s Ubberdouches and his illegitimate son Ragging Madcow’s prime viewership.
The slobbering vitriol that the right spews on a daily basis is pretty amazing to watch on this thread and Faux News. MSNBC is almost always the Number 1 legitimate news source in the country, and that shows that most people don’t gravitate to hate-mongering liars. It gives me hope for this country.
The Great Massiah Obama is single handedly destroying the democrat party. Everything he touches turns to dust. It’s almost like he’s doing it on purpose. I have never seen anything like this. They roll out Jimmy Carter the ANTI-SEMITE to call everyone who disagrees with him a racist. The head of his own Presidential library quit because he couldn’t stomach Carter. Carter is the one who referred to Obama as “BOY”. You leftist Democrats have gone nuts!!!!! The Democrats have turned into the Atheist pervert childmolesting party. MARXIST=DEMOCRATS=TERRORIST All the same Ask the ANTI-SEMITE Racist Jimmy Carter from the south.
I have to say in response OmegaParticle that describing MSNBC as the only ‘legitimate’ news source is walking a fine line and not at all accurate – it that sort of attitude on the left that has allowed Fox to reach such high ratings. They appeal to level headed people who don’t like being called racists and fear-mongering liars. Numbers don’t lie – Fox dominates.
Honestly I used to watch only CNN and MSNBC.One day I was watching Foxnews and guess what? I’ve been watching faxnews ever since and I am proud of it. They live up with their slogan as ‘fair and balance’ and I am a Democrat….sadddddddddddddd….
First time I’ve seen O’Reilly get 4 million viewers. He is absolutely clobbering Olbermann.
The referee needs to call this fight before someone gets killed!
The network newcasts used to get 14 million viewers per night. It’s silly to believe some freak on cable TV getting 3 million is a big deal. It isn’t. And the only reason some of them get even that much is by putting on a freak show designed to appeal to the most deranged people in the nation. Again, is that supposed to be impressive?
Wow, over 4 million, and over 2 million on the re-broadcast. The Factor DOMINATES! GO FOX!
A noob on here–I find it pleasant to find some reasonable discussions of cable media.
I believe that MSNBC and other left-leaning outlets suffer for filtering coverage and opinion as much as for the content they do present.
Kudos to Fox News
Bill O’reilly seems to be working to be a little less strident and contentious (or is that just me?) At any rate, something is working for him.

Totally Agree! The true colors are coming out of the woodwork. I hope you understand what I am saying. As a independent, I voted for republicans and democrats. I don’t think the republicans understand how they are isolating voters from the party.
I watched a little of Olbermann tonite after I watched Bill–I do this sometimes because Olbermann makes me laugh. He hasn’t mentioned his ratings in the last view days–he must be looking at this site and seeing he is down for the count. I am sure he will twist and turn the facts to somehow make him number 1 in the ratings thru his perverse way of looking at things.
Great for FOX
“O’Reilly is the Number 1 anchor on TV at the present moment.”
Sorry Maria but Brian Williams, John Gibson, and Katie Couric all have higher ratings than that guy.
Bill O’Reilly isn’t really a news anchor anyways. After 8 o’clock Fox is admittedly all about opinion and bias and spin (they don’t tell you about the later 2). Prior to 8 it’s just more implicit (except Beck) but the bias is still there in their “news” programs.
” Glenn Beck did not put on a show about racism as Brian Williams did”
Janet, Williams was interviewing a former president and Carter brought up racism not Brian himself, unlike Glenn Beck who explicitly called our President a racist.
It’s ridiculous how much you guys kid yourselfs defending the clowns of this network.
Rating don’t legitimize a corrupt news organization. Right now the right wing conservatived of this country are rallied up against our President and that’s all that these ratings show. You guys just want to hear the spin and bias that makes you happy.

Actually Julian, we want to hear whats really going on. I watch MSNBC and don’t feel like I am getting very little if any substance at all. All you have to do is watch Olberman and 80% of what he does is degrade Fox news and the people who watch it. Where is there any thing useful with that? Sadly I’m starting to think that he gets better ratings if he talks about Fox News. Seems to me like they’d come up with something else if the ratings wouldn’t “suffer”.
Maddow just comes across as very arogant and cocky, like she thinks she is so much better and smarter than most of the world.
Not to mention neither one ever seem to have people with opposing views on.
People just don’t want to watch tv where they feel talked down to, degaded in some way and made fun of.
My first time posing here.
I consider myself an independent slightly center-right person. These numbers don’t surprise me a bit!
Five or six years ago I used to live on MSNBC and CNN, I thought Fox was a little too far to the right. Oberman was funny/entertaining when he first came on. Over the the years, MSNBC has moved farther and farther left … now it is so bad that I basically throw up a little in my mouth when Oberman and/or Madow are on. Fox has not changed, but is considerably more palatable!
Also, Fox is the only one that actually caries ALL the stories. The others are stuck in some parallel universe still busy criticizing Bush, and blaming everything else on Fox. They are consumed with these things … no time for real news?
I don’t know … I’m tired of being called a racist by the ‘main stream’ news (however, with the numbers above, I guess Fox is now the main stream news … the others are, by definition now the fringe.)
Yeah, Beck is over the top once in a while, but at least he is not condescending like Oberman, Madow, Gibson, etc.
Sorry, I should get the names spelled right. Olbermann and Maddow; or is it Olberhead and Madcow as others here refer to them LOL!!!
Oh so long ago…I used to watch NBC and CNN and always wondered why they would criticize fox news so i watched FNC for a week in a row and realized I was wasting my time watching total crap on NBC and CNN and haven’t gone back to watching that garbage. FNC leaves every news outlet in the dust. Beck and O’Reilly are the best news programs. Period.
I used to watch Chris Matthews but omg he has totally changed. MSNBC is so weird. I watch morning Joe but the rest of their line up is just sickening. I briefly saw tonight Keith (the buffoon) playing up this race thing that Jimmy Carter started – my gawd doesnt Keith the idiot understand that all this race crap hurts Obama. Shortsighted and I am sure short in other areas.. tee hee
MSNBC and their pathetic freak show(s) will eventually have to answer to their stockholders….. case closed.
The reason that every other outlet is getting a beat down on ratings is easy. Right now, on Fred Savage’s show… Er… Rachel Maddow’s show, there is a guy bashing people with religion. These same stations have been steadily pulling the race card, and they bash Fox constantly. It’s not even news by any stretch of the imagination!
They are so hard left that they won’t cover a story if they think it will hurt their cause, as seen with the Van Jones story, and now trying to claim the ACORN story isn’t newsworthy haha
Ridiculous.
The good people at MSNBC call Fox News Faux Noise. Do they have a “nickname” as well?
M Manic (obsessive)
S Sleazebags
N Needing (daily)
B Baby (diaper)
C Care
I think they keep a storeroom filled with “Depends” just for Chris Matthews for everytime he gets “a tingle up his leg”. And for Keith he just gets a rusty old bucket under his desk. And lastly Rachel has Ed under her desk catching it all… why do you think she’s smiling all the time? LOL!
I watched NBC and I remember being a Chris Matthews fan for a while. When I heard Fox being ridiculed, I checked it out. I have never looked back. People, do yourself a favor, watch for a few days-Beck, Shep, O’Reilly, Hannity, and Greta. Most balanced, and yes, entertaining, newscasts on the air period. I know both sides to every story(what a concept!), and I decide.
MSNBC’s nickname is MSLSD
Hail Satan!
The only real news available in America is BBC news. Thank God for public television and radio.
I always watched only MSNBC every morning and MSNBC/CNN evenings, but then Olberman became so vitriolic and condescending, that I switched to O’Reilly, who is usually more balanced and less obnoxious.
Then, I would hear from friends about stories MSNBC/CNN just weren’t reporting about at all (ACORN scandal is the most recent, blatant example.) So, I began flipping channels back and forth, but now I mostly watch Fox news most evenings (Shepard Smith or Bret Baier.) I split the morning between Morning Joe and Fox and Friends now so I can get the stories MSNBC doesn’t report, but also some of the Morning Joe guests and discussions.
Some days it seems like MSNBC doesn’t have any in-depth news at all. (I stopped watching ABC, CBS and NBC long ago for the same reason.) They just spend time rehashing someone else’s stories and bashing Fox hosts. I had to laugh the other day when they finally picked up the ACORN story and reported nothing except what Fox had already been reporting for days and acted as if it were some research they had investigated on their own. Pathetic.
The comments on these blogs are funny if you’ve been paying attention since they were turned back on. Seems like the liberals and consevatives come in waves lol.
I’ve been a Fox News Junkie for over 10 years. At first I watched just in the mornings, then I started to watch the 6:00 news/panel. Soon I was coming home for my news fix during lunch…..before I knew it I was addicted to Bill O, and Hannity and Colmes. My “addiction” for real news and varied guests from all sides of issues grew through the years as I became more and more informed on issues from health to politics and everything in between. FOX NEWS is the ONLY place I can get my NEWS JUNKIE FIX. The best thing about them is after you watch their shows and the TV is turned off, the discussion continues within our family. The next day it is the buzz at the water-cooler at the office where we are quite diversified in our opinions. 2 conservatives, 1 liberal, 1 independent, and 1 “normal” democrat. My boss has a “NO PIN-HEADS” mat at his door. All 5 of us watch FOX NEWS EXCLUSIVELY. Brian/Gretchen/Steve, Brit, Shephard, Glenn, Sean, and Gretchen too. FYI – the few times I’ve glanced at the other stations to see if they have the same stories is always disappointing. ABC,CBS, NBC, MSNBC, and CNN are acting “stupidly”. They still bash Bush, promote anything and everything connected to Obama and his policies, ignore both sides of real issues and talk down to America. Are you listening out there? Hey ABC,CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN: AMERICA DOESN’T WANT TO HEAR YOUR LIBERAL DRIBBLE AND CONDENSENDING ATTITUDES. TINKLE-MATTHEWS, OH-MY-BORING-MAN, AND MAD-MADOW………..PLEASE SHUT UP.
FOX YOU KEEP DOING WHAT YOUR DOING —- WE LOVE YOU!
I’ve read this one referring to MSNBC – BSNBC. I tried to watch that joke of a news channel but the smuggness and all-knowing smirks sent me to CNN where I was bored to tears. Fox News is where it’s at. I watch 100 percent Fox and will never buy another GE product (they own BSNBC).
GE and Microsoft don’t want NBC and MSNBC to be successful. It’s a great tax write off.
Beck is a Nut, but he is not an ACORN!
I watch him every day. He presents more information than ANYONE else on TV and then tells you to go fact check him yourself.
Not one post or commentator that I have seen has shown his facts to be inaccurate. He admits he is a “Rodeo Clown”, but no one disputes his facts.
Frankly, I would rather have an honest Rodeo Clown than anyone that is dishonest.
Isn’t time for Kieth Olbermouth to retire and get a new fresh face for msnbc. ANd, Oh Yeah, Why is it FOX News and msnbc. Can’t they afford Capital letters? And Rachel MadCow is not from another time. She would have been good during the silly 70s or nutty 80s. Those were simpler times, but people have grown up. Except of course the liberals in the College/University academia set.
Hey Republiturd. Go back to the fifth grade you bully. Beating people up either by word or by action is still that last resort of the uneducated and closed mind.
Republiturd, no need dictionary needed .. just look at the whitehouse. You can get a pretty clear definintion of communism right there.. YOU PUNK @SS MEATBALL ..
The dyke edged out Larry King (Alive?) again.
Encyclopedia Definition: Socialist; a liberam democrat!
liberal
Encyclopedia Definition: corporate filthy rich CEO,; a limousine liberal
Re: Republiturd
I clearly have no HEART for “Idiots” such as yourself (since you are into immature name calling)..why dont you go start a business..pay your high priced union workers..I will sit back on welfare and you can support me..How do you like them APPLES? Is that “free market” enough for you. What kind of cars are in your driveway?
Republiturd says:” All three of my cars are paid for.”
How many of them run?
Encyclopedia Definition: Democrat; a person instructed to vote for the candidate on every page on the ballot with a (D) following the name; one who believes the government should give you a bunch of free stuff for nothing in return.
Republiturd,
I noticed you avoided my question as do most democrats trying to get you off topic..I said “what kind” NOT “how many and if they were paid for”…Also I TinMan is not because I am a hick and live in a double wide like you assume (we all know what happens when you A$$ u me) Thats why I asked what kind of cars rather then assume…By the way I played the TinMan in the Wizard of Oz on stage not to mention plenty of other shows..I am around liberals all the time and no I am not gay either I do family theater with my kids. Hows that for off topic? You think you can answer now or are you going to avoid it again like most democrats.
Republiturd says; “All three of my cars are paid for.”
I think I’ve seen the sitting and rusting away in your front yard. I do like the GE washing machine on your porch.
How many dawgs do you keep under you porch, Republiturd ?
Republiturd, Did you remove the wheels from your house before adding the skirt?
I know! I really like yours!!!
Republiturd:
Not trying to get personal however you do have a foreign car in the bunch..I must say I am surprised they are not all foreign…you proved me wrong, YES a republican man enought to admit I am wrong.
All of my democrat friends drive foreign cars and buy foreign electronics..complain about republicans being non-american. I just shake my head most of the time.
Doesnt it make sense if you own a company, to try and get things done as economically as possible, so you can have more money to hire more people so your business can grow? Isnt that the American way or have we lost that somewhere along the way. What happened to hard working AMERICA..it seems democrats are ok with letting foreign people move here and take jobs..but get panties in a wad if a republican goes overseas to hire. When either way the company is going to get a tax break.
Am I just whacked out of my head or is that almost the same thing.
I wondered why he is called Keith “Odorman”, then i read his set reaks of urine, that his is usually unbathed and that is why his guests are almost always on “remote”. Never mind his opinions stink, but in person….and of urine and BO? A new low for MSNBC. And MSNBC getting thier clock cleaned in all day parts doesn’t bode well for the “team”.
Republiturd:
The reason I said “Not gay” (most people assume guys in theater are) is I could tell you were an ASSUME kind of guy. See what I mean about assume I did it to myself by assuming that you would assume. Good Grief now you got me talking in circles like a democrat. Maybe if both parties (yes both) could stop talking in circles the Americans in this country could get some work done..it only took 56 people to sign and start this great country.
Also, can anyone explain to me why NBC continues to carry suck low rated programs? Is it the message they are delivering or the person delivering the message? If i performed so poorly in my job, I would be replaced, I seriously don’t get it, any reasonable answers out there?
Olbermann might as well just fart for one hour on air – it would be much more entertaining… and truthful.
That’s pretty good Dan! Oderman, aka A$$olbermann or Über Mann since his dad is of German descent. Über (over) Mann (man) is how he feels I would also think the Hardbull set would likewise have the same reek because Chris Matthews has a morbid fear of guns and occasionally must do a gun story; that’s got to be a scivvy wetter for him without a doubt.
I dont really care for Hannity’s attitude he reminds me of a male Maddow. Oh wait is she female she must be taking testoserone pills instead of her estrogen pills JK! dont get your…
It’s easy to tell when the argument has been lost. The moment is signalled by the advent of name calling. This forum is very telling when you read all the posts in order. First, factual information is presented which clearly shows the dominance of FNC. Then, claims are presented stating that MSNBC, though behind in the ratings, is still better. (With no factual information in support). Then, name-calling ensues. Finally, the discussion degrades to personal attacks.
This pretty much mirrors the current national state of affairs. The liberal element still lives in a fantasy world where everybody shares with everyone else, nobody is greedy, and everybody deserves the bounty with which we are miraculously blessed. The conservative element believes that institutions should be given free reign, even though greed will eventually bring such a system down.
We need to realize that individual freedom of choice needs to be the objective, and that the only interference with that should be when that freedom will harm others.
When you look at the ratings and truly look at the program content of all the news sources, who do you honestly believe is closest to defending that freedom of choice? There’s the answer to why the ratings are as they are. It’s what the people want. Wake up. Get real.
“Your freedom to swing your fist ends at my nose.”
Rebupliturd, is probably a state funded welfare baby. We most likely put a roof over his head and bought him dinner lastnight. He and his friends sit around aguing over who has the biggest cockroach. The guy cant make it on his own so he votes democrat ” gimme, gimme, gimme cant do it on my own” …
Evil corporations, haliburton…. you ever seen a poor guy give someone a job … DUMB@ss!!
Encyclopedia Definition: Democrat; a person of menial intelligence who would vote for Nancy Pelosi.

and my rude remark toward Rachel Maddow
interesting to read that many here in years past, used to watch CNN and MSNBC. I also used to watch those channels, never even heard of Fox 10 years ago. I switched over after 9-11 and was surprised really at the difference in the news given and received.
Fox is fair and balanced, anyone that denies this, well, wake up. It is not too late.
I can not listen to the garbage on the other stations now… too much drooling and anger, and yes, fawning. I just can’t take it, makes me physically ill to listen to the anger on MSNBC particularly. CNN, they just keep smiling and try to act like everything is just normal as they tell you biased information… talking points from Rahm, Paul Begala and that ragin cajin
Really I want someone to tell me what good childish name calling even does? Other than make the one doing it look really dumb. The same with the stupid remarks made either way about the various news channels. I just don’t get it.
I like it when people say that ratings do not legitimize the stories and information being told. I think they absolutely do, people tend to watch, read, do things they enjoy, believe in or that challenges them to think about a certain topic or matter for themselves.
FNC doesn’t make fun of viewers who may have opposing opinions. Often they give equal time to the opposing views. You can think and say what you will but they also to not tell alot of untrue facts. Maybe the person presenting them has their own opinion, but almost all of what they say you can look up yourself.
Watch MSNBC, if you don’t agree with their “big 3(?)” they basically degrade and make fun of you. They almost NEVER have opposing views on their shows, and alot of what they do is trying to slander FNC. Very little if any substance. I’ve been trying to watch MSNBC more just for the opposing views, but its becoming increasingly harder to do. They tend to not even discuss the stories and issues that they claim they are reporting on it seems lately. Not to mention they don’t report on what should be important things to most Americans like Acorn, the czars etc. Not to mention the lowest of the lowest scum tactics of now seeming to think we’re all racist if we don’t agree with them and/or the president.
@Charlie: Nice to hear from someone who gets it.
For all of you Democrats out their that say that Fox News is only swelling because of right wing audiences, you need to get you heads out of the sand. My grandmother-in-law is a rabid Democrat, we’re talking the kind that “spoke her mind” on more than a number of occasions to my wife and I for voting Republican and about how Bush was the worst president ever. About two months ago she started watching Fox News a little and told us that Glenn Beck was crazy and they needed to take him off the air. We called her Tuesday and she was in the middle of watching Glenn Beck and was saying stuff like “They need to bring down Acorn” and “We have to clear all this corruption out of Washington.” It is not good news for Democrats when their lifelong voters have started watching Beck and O’Reilly every day and have left CNN and MSNBC.
@TinMan4$not¢: Well done from one who does Gilbert and Sullivan. Keep the joints oiled.
Like “Roserazzle” I used to watch CNN and CBS almost exclusively, but then came last year and during the primaries I slowly started “weeding out” the bad apples. What made me change to exclusively FNC was watching the other channels get personal so early on. I mean the bashing and personal attacks on everyone BUT Obama was too much to take.
As I said in another posting Lou Dobbs was getting boring with his nightly tyrades over the mexican border problems and not anything else. CNN and MSNBC as well as the rest were attacking Hillary as well as supporting the attacks made by others. As an independent, I still would’ve wanted Hillary for the insane hopes of her bringing us back to where we were when Bill was in office. I didn’t like Bill at first, but as the money grew within my pockets with the passage of time and Bill being the first to bring us to a surplus, I changed my tone.
Knowing how things work politically here in Chicago and such, I just didn’t trust Obama. He hadn’t shown enough qualifications for such a huge job. But I’m straying here from the original subject… sorry. Towards the end of my “analysis” of ALL the news channels, it was down to CNN and FNC for my so called viewing pleasure. What sealed CNN’s fate was the crap stunt they pulled on the Palin interview. Even after the author of the article whose words got severely twisted around got on air everywhere to set the record straight and denounce what was done, CNN STILL REFUSED to apologise to Palin! The “self proclaimed” reporter who conducted the interview even later acknowledged he had distorted the article and to this day has not apologised. That was the final straw! Regardless of what anyone feels about Palin (or any other candidate for that matter) it was the lowest of low blows. The same feeling would apply it it was done to McCain or Obama etc. The point is… journalism was finally dead for good at that moment.
The ONLY people that still hold on to true journalism regardless of wether you support them or not is FNC. O’Reilly, Hannity and Beck ARE NOT journalists! They only do commentaries of the current news. It’s the people behind the scenes at FNC that actually do the investigative work. As for CNN, MSNBC etc, their reporters sit on their a$$ all day long and scoop up what they can online.
It’s amazing how over the past few months all the other channels are breaking stories as much as a week or more AFTER Fox has already broken it to the public. Maybe they’re spending too much time still looking for things to blame Bush and Fox for to care about what’s REALLY happening in the world around us.
Oh… and to “Republiturd”… The name suits you… you are a turd! And if we were all full of hatred and racism as you and so many like you accuse us of… do you honestly believe that Obama would be in the White House now? Get real!
I like most of Fox New personalities and news programs, however, I’m not particularly Hannity. He’s a right-winged extremest, he also doesn’t articulate himself that well when faced with some serious debates, he just reiterates his same redundant rhetoric.
His prime-time slot should be replaced with Beck’s. I’m really starting to like Beck now. He’s said some very outrageous and ridiculous things in the past, but he’s learn to reapply himself and start telling the people what they want and truly need to hear. He’s playing “in between” now, he’s not totally one-sided and completely biased like Hannity is. I’m tired of hearing him say how we have the best health care system in the world, when the reality of it is, we don’t.
It was appalling to watch Frank Shaeffer go off on Christians on the Maddow show. He tried to say that he was speaking of Fundamental Christians. In reality some of the beliefs he was busy insulting belong to all Christians.
He called them Idiots waiting for Jesus to return. He basically said some really awful things. And, he said the liberals should just move on past the “idiots waiting on the hill for Jesus’ return”, leave them behind where they belong.
Maddow was right there along with him, whooping it up! It was the worst attack against Christians by Leftist Liberals I seen or heard in a long time. Anyone should be able to find the video on the net.
The thing is, Hispanics, who most of whom voted for Obama are Christians and deeply religious. Wonder if they are going to be upset by Shaeffer’s tirade against their faith.
Josh says:

Beck NEVER was one sided, even when at HLN, he ALWAYS went after both sides or whichever side deserved it the most at the moment.
@Josh: I’m not sure what criteria one ahould use for judging how good a health care system is. If you use the WHO rankings (last done 9 years ago), USA is 37th. If you use Michael Moore, USA is definitely not first. If you use satisfaction surveys, again it would rank low. If you judge it by its ability to respond to emergencies, it is far above any other system in the world. If you judge it by death rate, it ranks lower than some. If you judge it by preventive care, it ranks lower than some. By cost, it ranks poorly.
I guess it depends on your personal preference. If you emphasize preventive care, you invite the government to come into your life and tell you what to eat, drink, and smoke, and how to conduct your day to dat activity. If you emphasize emergency care, you gotta love the system we have compared to everywhere else.
Opinion: Let government regulation serve to control cost through litigation reform and overcharging and fraud. That’s how you make this the best system in the world.
As for Beck’s assessment, his opinion is as good as anyone’s, since there is no viable criterion.

apologies for the double post
Mike,
I must disagree with you on one point.
Maddow would have Nora O’Donnell under her desk, in order to put a smile on her face!!
Ed definitely wouldn’t do it for her!!
“since there is no viable criterion.”
but there is, Medicare and Medicaid are the comparison that has to be applied and they are both failing due to fiscal unsustainablity, it is completely illogical to assert that adding to those systems will magically make them solvent.
logic, the bane of statists and progressives everywhere.
@shoey: I omitted Medicare/Medicaid, which is really a system unto itself because it is paid for by different means. What criteria do we use for judging the ranking of that system? Cost? Quality of preventive care? Quality of emergency care? Solvency (as in your statement)? The point was the assessment of the veracity of Beck’s statement.
The claim that “logic is the bane of statists and progressives everywhere” is certainly applicable to this forum.
Right mow I’m watching Sean Hannity cover the plight of the San Joaquin Valley farmers and residents. Why doesn’t the dyke ever have something worthwhile on her programs?
Of course Fox outscores the other cable because CNN and MSNBC are not the head of any political party whereas Fox is the head of the Republican party. They have their viewers so scared that they have to tune in to see if the sky has fallen. The rest of us get to watch network news and get real news. Spongebob does better than any Foxnews show and more entertaining. Plus for the best opinion news you can’t beat Stuart/Colbert!!!! Fox is for the sign toting losers who are bracing for whatever Fox throws at them. Democrats are not their problem. Hail, Beck and off they go over the cliff. It’s so like them to actually tune in for the ratings. They want to see if they are winners. Well, the answer is no.
GP
Agreed..All she can do is talk trash about other people…and I wouldn’t really call her a news reporter.
BSNBC can be used as a head!
When you’re walking down ths hall of the NBC headquarters building and you see MSNBC on a door, enter; that’s the head. The M is for men.
I really have the BEST health care anyone could ask for. I don’t
want the government to mess it up.
We are retired and have finally got to enjoy the fruits of 45yrs.
of labor. Our house and autos are paid for due to the fact we only
purchased what we knew we could pay for.It wasn’t easy, it was damned
hard sometimes. We lived by the rules. Look what it got us,”a president that wants to run our life (whats left of it)”.
I HOPE YOU YOUNG PEOPLE will realize this is your life and your
country AND won’t let anyone take it away from you. I hope you are
smarter than all the people who voted in the pass election. Beware
of a smooth talker.

cold and hungry while living under that rock, we will be having one
hell of a good time…

Joan… I don’t know why you jumped into the fray, I didn’t direct ANYTHING towards you I was directing my reply (as it shows above) to “Republican…”
I’m probably as old as you are! With 2 grown kids (grandchild on the way) and business of my own etc etc, I’d say I could easily call MOST of the people here kids. So please next time before replying, make sure you’re replying to the correct person for the correct reasons. Thanks!
Sorry. I am stupid
No you’re not Joan… and thank you!
I remember grade school. When the low IQ folks really shined the name calling started. If you can’t argue intelligently, then just call them a name. Now that’s mature conversation.
I see Republiturd is his usual mean spirted and NON classy self. His comments are so telling — says a lot more about him that it does anyone else. Sounds like an extremely bitter person. Name calling is so juvenile anyway. No one listens to that. As a matter of fact that’s why no one listens to Olbermann.
And JOAN, I here ya! I’m right with you.
Cheers!
repibliturd- average democrat trying to look down on the CEO’s and money makers of america
! guess someone hasnt been making good use of their food stamps! and as for msnbc- it is disapointing that Microsoft does not do something about them- Doesn’t microsoft see that whatever news host is willing to give obama a blow job will never be as succesfull as a real news station? this is what happens on msnbc= they go after random wierd stories while the ACORN controversy is going on and then spend the rest of their time attacking fox news! Microsoft should buy out the rest of msnbc from nbc and fire all these idiots- they probably are not even making a profit from sleeping with obama and michelle.
