Are those normal numbers for South Park?
Good ratings for RR/RW: The Ruins. Much better than regular Real World ratings if I remember correctly.
Ghost Hunters
Gost Hunters was in South Park. Double win for Comedy Central;)
The Ruins is really amazing, those ratings were kind of expected.
I can’t remember the last time a challenge broke 2 million! MTV should be sending Wes a gift basket!
Im surprised South Park didnt do better. Dead Celebrities was one of the best season premieres for South Park.
@ Cool, that’s about what it was getting before it went on break. However, the S13 premiere “The Ring” had more than 3 million viewers.
Did anyone else notice that in Dead Celebrities, right before Cartman played the Billy Mays commercial they were at his house, and right after the commercial ended, the boys were at Kyle’s House.
@Dan, yeah I did notice that. I was like, “why does cartman have a picture of Kyle’s family on the wall…oh I guess we’re in Kyle’s house…ok”
I wonder if they did that on purpose.
It’s a bit worrying that Ghost Hunters has done so much better than SGU. SGU is supposed to be “cheap” at one million per episode, but I somehow don’t believe it. SG-1 was reaching 2 million at the end.
1) I’m a little sad that Mythbusters didn’t break 2m viewers in its season premiere. Kinda makes you wonder if it’s beginning to wear out its welcome.
2) I second Chad’s concern about “Ghost Hunters.” It’s a dumb show (and I loved South Park’s parody of it) and it’s pathetic that it’s SyFy’s #1 show. On the other hand, it does air on prime time during the week, and SGU is a Friday night show. Friday always has lower ratings, so it isn’t a fair, “apples to apples” comparison. A more fair comperison is to W13 which, although it aired in the summer and not the fall, did air during a weeknight.
Johnthemon – Not sure, maybe Trey and Matt just forgot whose house they were in and were more focused on the story, which was very good.
Or maybe if you watch Billy Mays commercials now, you magically teleport 2 your friends house.
@ Christian
- Many challenges have broke 2 million before.
