  1. GaryD7310 says:

Wow, pretty good numbers for O’Reilly considering he was going against the World Series last night.

  2. John says:

    All,

I found this at NPR (a gov’t run media)

I think this is interesting considering we pay for this it is a survey of whether FNC is fair and balanced. I think this is in line with beck show today.

    http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2009/10/in_white_house_vs_fox_news_war.html

    I’m supporting:
The White House on this one; Fox News isn’t “fair and balanced.” 47% (154,404 votes)

Fox News on this one; it asks questions others don’t and the White House should be able to handle them. 51% (168,203 votes)

Neither side. They’re both trying to play this “feud” to their advantage. 2% (6,196 votes)

    Total Votes: 328,803

  3. Robbie says:

Yeah Gary, everyone lost last night. But you are right, FOX still carried the day. I would imagine once the Series is over we will see FOX’s numbers go through the roof!

  4. Adam says:

Keith Olbermann is dangerously close to being a permanent 3rd place at 8PM.

  5. Rich says:

Surprised to see that the Series didn’t take much out of O’Reilly’s ratings…..

  6. Demonjoe says:

Wow, HLN is now beating CNN and MSNBC at prime time.

  7. manny2066 says:

    Fox news rocks !!!!!

  8. Kay says:

    I agree, FOX NEWS rocks!!!

  9. me says:

Wow rachel is doing pretty good, good for her

  10. DGL says:

Who is Rachel? Do you mean Androgynous Ray?

  11. lkl says:

Fox News is just kicking the dog crap out of all the other cable news stations combined. Glenn Beck is the new star and at one he was on HLN and they just let him go, error, terrible error.

  12. GaryD7310 says:

Anybody watching Hannity tonight? He has a good show with the panel of voters in New Jersey.

  13. db says:

Glenn Beck should be required watching for all Americans. Wake up folks, this administration is the most corrupt and radical in our history and they will ruin this country unless we step up in 2010.

I even learned something from Hannity tonite–alot of NJ folks should not be allowed to vote, especially the guy who didn’t know social security was bankrupt. Another one when told what she had just said was the philosophy of Karl Marx just shrugged like it didn’t matter to her. Probably didn’t know who Karl Marx is. The folks who don’t watch Fox are so ill informed it is scary.

  14. HOBO says:

BOR’s second showing at 11 in the key demo beats Rachels and Olbermans first showing combined. MSNBC is going in the tank. anyone with a brain would not watch their drivel. HOBO

  15. Faithwalker says:

Updated NPR poll, notice the percent swing.

The White House on this one; Fox News isn’t “fair and balanced.” 38% (161,594 votes)

Fox News on this one; it asks questions others don’t and the White House should be able to handle them. 60% (258,362 votes)

Neither side. They’re both trying to play this “feud” to their advantage. 2% (7,587 votes)

    Total Votes: 427,543

  16. D.J. says:

Interesting that “Countdown” was still able to retain most of its near-million viewership at 8 PM, despite the fact that Olbermann was not hosting. My guess is – and this is just a hunch, knowing he is the big baseball fan that he is – that he was at World Series Games 1 & 2 at Yankee Stadium. I recall last year, he pre-recorded an edition of “Countdown” from Philadelphia on October 27th. But back to the original point I was trying to make: Larry O’Donnell is doing a hell of a job subbing for Olbermann.

  17. Gary says:

I agree with you db, it is scary how some people are allowed to vote and they don’t even know the facts or who they are really voting for.
I think everyone should watch BECK, he is so on the White House, it really scares me what that have in mind for this great country.

  18. Rosie says:

    MSNBC is going down.
They have only a few more months of “life” in them and then it is going to die.
MSNBC + GE = Obama administration lapdogs

  19. bruce says:

Obama will make sure GE/NBC stay afloat. Otherwise his main propaganda voice would vanish. NBC/MSNBC heads the state-run media.

  20. Bluto says:

What’s O’reily afraid of? Beck is no threat to him, nor does he want to be.

Bill seems to be, increasingly, more shrill with Beck.

He’s constantly knocking his and Mitt’s Mormonism, as if trans-substantiation, indulgences, infant baptism, and veneration of Saints isn’t strange, in his Faith of Choice?

And now this morning, on the View, he’s trying to distance himself from Beck and Hannity and paint himself as an “Honorable Newsman” .

Bill is becoming more and more a mollie-coddler and quite frankly, rather ill-informed on the issues, that Hannity and Beck bring forth on a daily basis.

Remember, Bill is still a New York elitist who does not think there is life betwen NY and LA. And he along with Scarborough love his Manhatten parties.

    Bluto

  21. Rosie says:

Bluto: you could not be ever MORE WRONG
What did you do??? cut and paste this blurb from HuffPo or Mediamatters? lolol

  22. JC says:

    Thursday ratings???

  23. Bill Gorman says:

JC, I have them right here, but am holding off posting them just to piss you off! ;)

  24. wolfster38 says:

There once was a man named Keith
    And Rachal was his niece
    They bruised the news
    They had no clue
And were in on the Government fleece

    Their ratings tanked
    Because they stank
And stood there with faces of blank

  25. wolfster38 says:

How can Overbite keep his job? He’s just a little in front (sometimes) of FOX & Friends a morning show and he’s in prime time. The leaders of GE really don’t care about their share holders. Do they?

P.S. I hope they keep him!
    P.P.S And they will! LMAO!…………

  26. Duchess says:

C’mon Bill — Thursday ratings! We want Thursday ratings! My day isn’t complete unless I see the numbers. Weekends drive me crazy.

    Go, Fox!

  27. wolfster38 says:

    Keep em hangin Bill
We already know FOX will be #1 and CNN & MSNBC will be last.
What do we need to know that we don’t already know?

  28. Cooks In DC says:

    Update:

The White House on this one; Fox News isn’t “fair and balanced.” 25% (172,491 votes)

Fox News on this one; it asks questions others don’t and the White House should be able to handle them. 74% (515,537 votes)

Neither side. They’re both trying to play this “feud” to their advantage. 2% (11,341 votes)

    Total Votes: 699,369

  29. Brenda says:

Hey Wolfster, how is it logistically possible for both CNN and MSNBC to be “last”? Bill, I think its hilarious you’re not posting the ratings. I purposefully came here to check the comments because I knew at least some of the regulars would be chomping at the bit to get the ratings for Thursday and they wouldn’t be able to contain not commenting somewhere. lol

  30. Kellsws6 says:

I dont see how not posting the ratings is funny, it seem
unprofessional if you ask me. who is running this site? I thought this was a legitimate site?

  31. Bill Gorman says:

Everyone who’s angry at my supposed withholding of the ratings should check their sarcasm detectors. You may need new batteries.

This message is for those unaware of the concept:

We have not received Thursday’s cable news ratings.

  32. Kellsws6 says:

in that case im sorry, I just was quick to assume that they where being withheld by some of the earlier comments. again im sorry.

  33. DGL says:

Why dont you just make the ratings up Bill like the White House does stimulous jobs?

  34. Michael says:

I don’t understand the appeal of FOX news? They are simply not fair and balanced. How could anyone believe that? It’s just shocking to me. I watched a 1/2 day of FOX news for the first time even though I’m a liberal. There was no facts presented on this particular day that I watched.

Where have facts gone in news? It’s depressing. For example, say a survey shows that 45% support Obama and 52% don’t. FOX news will report, “American people overwhelmingly reject President Obama.” That’s not reporting facts.

  35. Tony says:

    Michael,
By your logic then Obama didn’t win by a landslide either…as the mainstream media continually reported

  36. agith says:

Tony, he won by a landslide by relative terms..

P.S anyone who watches beck is a moron who can’t think for him/her self. The guy is a loon…

  37. alex says:

    Michael says:

I don’t understand the appeal of FOX news?
    —————-
my unusually smart friend, all enemies of the USA are with you. the more people like you we have the faster BA will bring socialism to the USA.
i’ve lived in Russia for 42 years. i know first hand the inevitable and destructive might of socialism.
for now you are right, but… when i meet you in a 3 hours long line at an empty grocery store to buy (if you are tremendously lucky!) a bony piece of beef for a price of a bull calf, i am going to look into your eyes.
    may live socialism, comrades!!!

  38. cat7722 says:

Thank heavens more and more people are watching Fox….I remember when it didnt matter who the president was, reporters DID THEIR JOBS and exposed corruption, waste, crimes, plots, and the fundementals involved with destroying our country. This administration is doing all of the above. How can anyone (even liberals) agree with changing the constitution and destroying the very foundation on which America was born and became the greatest civilization in the history of mankind. If they promoted this change and got elected on it….fine, but to cheat, lie, steal, and con their way into something 75-80% of the country doesnt want is an abomination. (Obamanation) If you liberals want USA to be a socialist country just SAY IT!!! Dont hide and con these people…if its so good, then own it.

  39. Gibson says:

Salivating for ratings… Ive seen it all now. Pavlovs theory at its finest.

  40. Erez says:

Yesterday O’Reilly told Beck ” you are number one on the NYT best seller list and I am three”. Truth is GB is 5 and 7 and Bill is 19!! But it seems to bother Bill – as if his lengthy reign is about to be eclipsed by GB. Hypo speaking if FNC were to switch slots between the two of them – I am betting GB will leave BO in the dust. GB is simply very bright and hard working and BO has been resting on his royal seat for too long.
