the Smallville drop was somewhat expected with an NBA game airing on the local Chicago affiliate. I didn’t see the hourly breakout on House to figure how it looked during the 9p-10p hour for Dollhouse comparisons, but the two hour averaged dropped a 10th of an adults 18-49 rating point from the fast national numbers.

How many people watched Smallville on Sunday?
Whoa, that 1.1 looks UGLY for Betty….even Leno beat her :X
Love Smallville, why does it say drop? I think the ratings are great considering.
Leyla, it had a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating in the preliminary numbers reported for Friday night that dropped to a 1.1.
Yeah, Medium went up .1 on that miserable Friday.
Smallville ratings didn’t drop as much as I thought they would without Chicago. Those demos look pretty good. I’m happy! Glad the CW is paying attention!
Is the 1.0 W18-34 a high for Smallville (on a Friday)? I thought it’s been hovering around 0.7 or 0.8?
I live in chicago and im one of the people who watched it on sunday at 7pm exact =( If it were to air friday in chicago it might’ve made stay at a 1.2 =( or maybe even higher depending on how many people would’ve watched it. I hope this never happens again.
Does the ratins on sunday count at all and does anyone know what the ratings were?
Smallville, to the local CW station the viewership of that off timed Smallville “counted”, but not for the national ratings we report on this site.
k thanks then at least it was a good thing i was there at the right time. Your welcome, Smallville
Hey Bill do i know this is about fridays and smallville and stuff but do u know what is going on with Supernatural i mean by ratings wise?
Smallville, Supernatural ratings? Yes, I know what’s going on.
1.1 for Betty? So sad.
Let’s see if GW’s number will rise next week as the press release for the episode says “”be on the lookout for a pole-dancing scene by Melinda”
I am wondering where the audience for GW and Numb3rs has gone this year. That is really strange. They seemed to have an established audience, and now it is definitely shrinking. I really never watched them all that much, although I did rather like Numb3rs. I guess someone who watched both shows all these years would have to comment on whether or not the quality of the shows has gone down. CBS is still winning, but if one of the other networks found a show that clicks with the audience, that would change quickly.
I was really surprised that GW and Numb3rs are pulling such low numbers than usual, sure they are winning but the drop from last season is alarming. Although if we add the DVR Numb3rs and GW’s ratings are on par with previous seasons
I’m hoping they will go back up, although I’m not a fan of both shows, but I want them to still do well on a Friday night so that we could still hope that the networks will not give up on Friday anytime soon
I’m a big fan of Numb3rs, but 3 am either working or partying on Friday. I do DVR Numb3rs, Monk and White Collar and rhey are viewed the next day. I hope CBS keepsw it around for a few more seasons. Hey atleast it beats Leno.
hmm well i saw some of season 4 of GW and it was awful with that Sam and Melinda crap no wonder the audeince is turning off. I wish Medium was getting 2.2 or more to be safe its hands down the best show at 9PM on friday.
As for FOX i dont think they will bother making new shows for Friday night anymore. The should just air House and Bones and not even bother bringing back Dollhouse for the burn off eps.
As to what happened to Ghost Whisperer and the other two CBS shows. I eyeballed the first three weeks data between this season and last and it looked to me like the total network viewership is about the same or a little lower. The big change was that the number two and even more so the number three show in each time slot was pulling more viewers. So some of the casual viewers of GW may have switched to L&O or SN. But they also appear to come back as evidenced by the good DVR+7 gains.
So CBS may be the victim of its own success by showing you can succeed on Friday night. Now ABC and NBC are programming more aggressively against them and drawing some viewers.
