Over the weekend I posted about “Shark” Robert Herjavec posting on his Twitter account that ABC had ordered additional episodes of Shark Tank. It’s true. Kind of. The Wrap’s Josef Adalian gets to the bottom of it:
Over the weekend, one of the sharks tweeted that the network had renewed the show for a second season. But ABC insiders said: Not true.
What’s up?
Well, ABC still has three unaired episodes of “Shark” in the can. It’s also just agreed to use previously shot footage to put together two more episodes of the Mark Burnett/Sony-produced series, a network rep confirmed to TheWrap.
So, there will be additional episodes, but there wasn’t an order for additional production or any type of renewal, at least not yet.

I’m one of the show’s faithful viewers- it’s enjoyable. Not sure where it can earn stronger ratings on the schedule, though. Maybe a 10 p.m. slot if one opens up.
that would make for the good “Sharks Circle Jay Leno” headline
Poor Jay…everyone is taking shots at him…of course, I don’think he’d have it any other way.
It’s the accountants again. They’re in cahoots with the janitors, scrunging scraps from the cutting room floor to paste together extra episodes. Wait till they start showing the same episodes but from different camera angles and different character POVs.
So basically ABC is combining the remaining 3 episodes with 2 more episodes to amke a respectable 5 episode run. ABC could use the series for summer but I wouldnt air it earlier than May.
This seems somewhat similar to what ABC Family did with Whose Line in 2006. I’m guessing ABC will order a second season for the summer and burn off these 5 episodes on Tuesdays @ 8 this winter.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see these eps turn up on Mondays in between Dancing seasons, or even back on Sundays to avoid airing reruns of the serials.
“Wait till they start showing the same episodes but from different camera angles and different character POVs.”
Battlestar Galactica: The Plan
I am a huge fan of this show I dont see why they wouldnt order up a complete second season with the ratings it was garnering averaging around 5 million viewers. The Millionaire lead in worked out great but once they changed it to tuesday night the numbers started to slip a little bit. I think ABC needs to give this show a full slate of episodes and a locked in time slot then once word spreads how great the show is the 3.0 and higher ratings will return. Also I question how much does this show really cost to produce? Its 5 people sitting in a room I mean give me a break if they don’t bring the show back Im almost positive another network would pick it up.
Love this show!!!!!!

How about covering production costs by putting the five seats up for bid? If these sharks have been making money on the projects they support, others should be willing to pony up for a seat too.
“Shark Tank” sucks!!!
I’ve been looking for this show every tuesday. I am so surprise it’s not on the air. I fell in love with this show.
