FOX is having a nice run with sports.  First,  huge ratings for the Vikings – Packers NFL contest, then game four of the World Series pulled some nice numbers. Here are some blurbs from FOX (these numbers are still preliminary, but are time-zone adjusted and won’t likely change much):

  • Last night’s game ran from 8:19pm – 11:48pm ET and posted 22.8 million Total Viewers, up +47% from last year’s Game 4 (versus 15.5 million total viewers on 10/26/08),
  • The game was the most-watched non-decisive Game 4 in 8 years (versus 10/31/01).
  • Was the most-watched World Series game since Game 4 of 2004 (versus 28.8 million total viewers on 10/27/04).

I’m sure there will be a more detailed release, including local market information this afternoon.  We’ll post it when we see it.

  1. Samantha says:

Any second now a Fox executive will Tonya Harding Jeter and A-Rod to make sure the Phillies win at least one more game.

  2. Dingo says:

No need for that, Samantha. Just make sure Cliff Lee reaches the mound safely and the Phillies will win tonight.
