i don’t know what you mean by political comments. isn’t that what we are talking about? also, do you mean personal attacks against tv people or other commenters
Here is an update to the poll at NPR – Before the liberals get thier panties in a bunch remember if there is multiple voting by FNC fans then there is also multiple voting on the Left. Given the Gallup split it would not effect the talling and the % represents that. 19% liberal and 40%/36% conservative and moderates repsectively. MOST Citizens believe in free speech and a heathly debats.
http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2009/10/in_white_house_vs_fox_news_war.html
This week it’s ABC News’ Jake Tapper asking why the Obama team was treating one of the “sister organizations” so badly — and the news that the White House had tried to block a Fox News reporter from interviewing the so-called pay czar. (After all the networks objected, the White House relented.)
It seems like time for a survey:
Thank you for voting!
The White House on this one; Fox News isn’t “fair and balanced.” 14% (218,016 votes)
Fox News on this one; it asks questions others don’t and the White House should be able to handle them. 84% (1,279,280 votes)
Neither side. They’re both trying to play this “feud” to their advantage. 1% (21,451 votes)
Total Votes: 1,518,747

Olberman lost to Fox and Friends. Not good for MSNBC!
i love seeing olgerman under a million. there has to be somebody else out there representing the left. he’s so overbearing i could only take small doses of him
All Olberman does is whine about FOX news and whenever there is criticism towards Obama he whines about Bush. Last time I checked, Bush wasn’t president anymore.
CNN and Anderson Cooper are in a free fall! Keep up the good work. Both should come out-of-the-closet and fully embrace the left-wing “Progressive” agenda of the Obama Administration. Then they can rename the station MSCNN.
Was CNN lineup in repeats yesterday?
If anybody was questioning it, I hope it is clear. People tune in to Cable News channels not for the pure news, but for opinions. As long as CNN does not get it, they are going to falter.
CNN you are a liberal joke. No word has yet to be invented that could possibly describe the loser Rachel Maddow…………..
demonjoe—without fox, palin, bush etc the show would not be an hour
markd-I suppose you’re right. All that guy does is complain about the right, instead of saying where he thinks they’re wrong.
Yesterday all the MSNBC shows focused on Cheney instead of the elections coming up today. Why do you suppose that is? BTW thats a rhetorical question its obvious the only way to rally the liberal base is the liberal hate mongering. Why no stories of the ethics investigations in congress now? It would seem more relevant from a “news” channel.
Seems like everybody was hit hard by bad ratings yesterday, but CNN is ridiculously down. Was it MNF, seeing that Campbell Brown was their most watched when it’s regularly Larry King, and after that it
just dropped down even more.
Anybody that drops off CNN as a liberal chanter is seriously just tuning up more Fox’s cult.
Don’t blame Olbermann, blame MSNBC for running reruns of his show from last year. Last night Olberman’s show was all about Dick Cheney. I think it must have been a broadcast from 2007 or some time around then.
demonjoe, not only do they not back it, it’s more than that. when was the last time you were ever “sold” by olberman or maddow. all they do is trash people and never talk about why their side is better,,,,,ever. i think even their core is catching on to that—-lot more under million nights for both of them
Felix….you owe me a keyboard. ROFLMAO!!
Ed
Julian…World Series Dude
Ya can I personally attack Keith Olberman, Ray Maddow or that D-Bag “Ed” and his “Crazy talk” show?
Yikes, those are the lowest numbers I have seen for Larry King – wow! I forget who the guest was…
Has anyone else noticed that Hannity and Van Sustern seem to be down a bit? O’Reilly and Beck are doing really well, but I’ve noticed for a few weeks that Hannity isn’t at his usual ~2.5 mil viewers. And in this one he’s under 2.0 mil….maybe something happened on Monday night to drive it further down, but in general Hannity seems to be trending downward (slightly) from his typical numbers.
Shannon,
Hannity and Greta were up against the World Series and Monday Night Football.
It’s tough when you have to go against Monday Night Football and the World Series, looks like everybody took a hit after 8:00 PM Monday evening.
Yes, that is what is happening with the world series on lately.
We have screen in screen tv (or whatever you call it) we can see two channels at once (it is an old Sony) so hubby has the game on on screen and listens to FOX. I swear I am getting him some tv ears for his birthday Dec 15. It is very difficult for me to practice piano during Shep and Bret. I like watching FOX but I have to practice too.
ps: I love FOX news
This election was a referendum, I know the MSM cable news were all about democrats and adulation for BHO, but we elected HANDILY a republican Governor last night and I am thrilled to have a REAL conservative.
How did Fox report on Obama’a visit to Dover last week? Doing something that the last president never did, they must have reported on it as though he was trying to exploit soldiers deaths or that he was there for a photo-op. Vising fallen heroes arriving home seems like a very patriotic thing to do and something that every president should do before they decide to send young men and women off to war. I’m waiting to see what they have to say about the congressional race in N.Y. where Bill Owens picked up a seat against his conservative oponent, despite the endorsements of both Palin and Ginghrich and the republican greek chorus that is Fox news
Fox,VA and NJ rocks……
Sharon my dear President Bush frequently made such trips. He just did it without the press. I guess he had the crazy idea that it wouldn’t be right to exploit dead troops for political advantage.
Winston Churchhill(1945): “I must tell you that a socialist policy is abhorrent to British ideas on freedom. There is to be one State, to which all are to be obedient in every act of their lives. This State, once in power, will prescribe for everyone: where they are to work, what they are to work at, where they may go and what they may say, what views they are to hold, where their wives are to queue up for the State ration, and what education their children are to receive. A socialist state could not afford to suffer opposition – no socialist system can be established without a political police. They (the Labour government) would have to fall back on some form of Gestapo.”
The latter sounds like Obama’s worries about FOX.
keithandchrissuck, I actually have to back part of Sharon’s comment with explanation.
She is right that President Bush is not known to have attended any of the arrival and transfer ceremonies for fallen soldiers at Dover AFB.
That does not mean that she is totally correct in the intent of her comment. President Bush met with the families of ALL servicemembers killed in Iraq and Afganistan that wished to meet with him. He rarely (if ever) took photographers or allowed press coverage of his meetings with families unless the families requested it.
Obama used his Dover visit as a photo op exploiting the dead troops for his own political purposes. Bush never used his visits with families or attendance at memorials in such a crass, vulgar and disgraceful way.
Well said Viper
I guess DEMS have to use a congressional race to feel good about themselves, but the fact is “YOU LIBS GOT SKUNKED LAST NIGHT” and I love it. Thank God for FOX news.
Obama asked permission for footage from each family and eleven out of the eighteen agreed. You want to talk about exploiting, Bush mentioned 9/11 in every speech he gave and exploited more than 3,000 dead Americans just to keep Halliburton profitable. All with the help of the very courtious and cowardly excuse for a network that is Fox.
Horsesqueeze. That “courteous and cowardly excuse for a network” is handing the Obamaphiles at MSNBC, CNN, PBS, CNBC, and the rest their heads on the ratings platter.
There is an old saying, “When ten men tell you that you are ill, you should go lie down.”
Well literally millions of viewers are telling the networks I listed above that they are irrevelent (ill) by not tuning them in and watching what you call a “courteous and cowardly excuse for a network” instead. Clearly someone hasn’t gotten the message yet.
Any one of the other networks would give an eye to get half of Fox’s ratings on a regular basis. Sadly for them it ain’t gonna happen till they quit trying to pee on their viewers leg and tell them that it’s raining.
Sharon, what Kool-Aid have you been drinking? Only one out of the 18 families wanted BHO there, to much MSPMS again Sharon, you should know better then to listen to them.
Sharon is obviously trying to distract everyone from the republican victories last night that Fox covered better than any other channel.
Nice try….
Did Fox give an indepth analysis of the Democrats victory in the New York 23rd?
Gibson,
Yes, Fox gave an in-depth interview and analysis. Unlike MSNBC, which decided to run an Olberman re-run.
No doubt you watch all of this, what was the reason Cindy that Fox gave for a Democrat taking a Republican seat that had been held for over 100 years since Grant was president? What was their take on ths?
I still cant understand liberals venom towards foxnews…..OK, say fox in center to right reporting…..that leaves MSNBC, CNN, HLN, ABC, NBC, and CBS as far left reporting…….thats 6 to 1 in FAVOR of far left bias. Whats the complaint? They dont believe in free speech or freedom of the press? There is only ONE news outlet that present all the news and the conservative point of view. If things were “fair and balanced” we should have 3 or 4 more conservative news stations to help inform the public about the truth. Geez, its ridiculous. If you libs dont like it….DON’T WATCH IT! The rest of us will, get informed, learn the truth and retake our country back.
cat7722,
So CAT772…if you watch the conservative Fox how do you know what the liberal MSNBC, CNN, HLN are airing? Are you just assuming they are trashing Fox all the time? You would only know that if you watched MSNBC, CNN….. And think about it very carefully, if you had 3 or 4 conservative oriented cable news channels, Fox ratings would be on equal with MSNBC, CNN, etc. Thats the only thing you guys have going for you is a conservative monopoly at Fox. Heavin forbid that Fox would ever have conservative competition for viewers!!!!
cat7722,
I think the reason why FOX gets called out more than any other network is because they claim to be fair and balanced in “all” of its reporting and analysis when thats not true.
……and CAT, we had to wait 8 years to retake OUR country back!!!
Gibson,
If you watched the coverage last night, you would notice that Scozzafava received over 6300 votes. Add these to Hoffmans, and the Republican/Conservative garnered 53% of the vote. If Scozzafava had never been chosen, but Hoffman had, then Hoffman most likely would have won.
