After Monday night football, USA Network took the next five spots at the top, led by Monday Night Raw, White Collar, NCIS and Monk. Overall USA took ten of the top 25 spots, followed by Nickelodeon with six and Disney with four.
Sadly, I’ve made the decision to no longer field requests. We always post whatever data we see via press release or other trade publications already. You can subscribe to our RSS feed and you can also follow @TravisYanan on Twitter. During the week he usually posts some (not all) cable results for each weekday, usually late in the afternoon on the east coast (and Friday night data isn’t posted until Monday) and he posts the links to that info on his Twitter account to the info on Marc Berman’s PI Forums. You can also follow me on Twitter, sometimes I spit some ratings info out, like this morning for Mad Men and That’s So Raven.

NCIS beats Spongebob again, guess viewers prefer Gibbs and the Gang to Spongebob and his friends. Penguins does really well for Nick for 10am.
Re: Seidman’s twitter…you know that the world is going to hell in a handbasket when “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” get a million more viewers than “Mad Men”
I’m surprised by White Collar beating Monk. I liked the first couple episodes but they seemed a little too uneven to do that well. My guess is the show’s cast (which are all pretty talented) is keeping people around until the show finds its stride.
What is a little disturbing is how this reflects on Psych. White Collar’s success in the same slot means the audience was out there and just chose not to stick around for Psych.
Psych is a comedy and White Collar is more dramatic I don’t really think they appeal to the exact same people. Both are good shows.
KK, I’m guessing that more people like watching NeNe than Don Draper. Real Housewives also beats Project Runway in the demo although that’s not to say Project Runway is doing badly, it’s doing good but Lifetime are paying $30m a year for it.
The success of White Collar is slightly worrying for Psych but the USA shows I think is in danger is Law and Order: Criminal Intent and In Plain Sight which are going through creative changes.
Is 5.075 the final rating for the White Collar contest? I was really close!
Since Monk is ending, they are probably happy about White Collar. In all likelihood they are going to pair it with Psych on Fridays. The question is: which show will get the earlier time? Psych got better demos but fewer viewers than Monk.
The leads in Monk and Psych are not in the hunky mold whereas White Collar’s advertising emphasizes the dreaminess of the lead actor.
Be interesting to see how White Collar breaks out according to gender.
Jon, the real question is WHY do a million more people like watching ignorant nothings over intelligently written drama? It is a very sad relection of American pop culture.
reflection
Rose, you WERE really close! But someone was closer w/5.068.
Blast! I had 5.023!!!
Congrats to to the winner! I’ll be happy to step up to the plate should he not be able to fulfill his duties in accepting the gift basket.
Mad Men although critically acclaimed is not easy to get into unless you’ve watched previous seasons whereas Atlanta, you could probably watch an episode without having to know the backstory of the people and still enjoy it. The sad truth is that critically acclaimed shows like Damages, Mad Men etc tend to have more awards than ratings, I think someone made a joke about 30 Rock having more awards than viewers.
Viewers do prefer shows that are easy to watch without having too much commitments, that is why CBS and USA do so well with their shows.
NeNe is much more exciting than a bunch of whiney rich people from back in the day! NeNe > Betty Draper! Bwahahaha!
I think Psych is fine. It is normally in the top 25 cable shows, and does better than most shows on one of USA’s bigger competitors, TNT.
So, if I subscribed to TravisYanan’s twitter would I be able to find out how Naruto: Shippuden did on DisneyXD? I’ve never actually used Twitter before and I’m a little concerned that if I take the plunge it’ll eat up all my time. Hell, I already waste enough time on this site.
Is there a rating for Friday Night Lights since it only aired on DirecTV?
Kyle, nope, no ratings for FNL. At least not for us until they wind up on NBC.
Master Moron: I don’t think Naruto is typically in Travis’ repertoire
Speaking of TNT, there has been no news regarding Raising the Bar and Dark Blue, I think Dark Blue is a goner and Raising the Bar is 50/50 as it lost around 50% of The Closer lead in every week. I think out of the TNT pilots, Rizolli and Delta Blues sound like potential companions for the Closer and The Spielberg Alien series will probably be a Winter show.
Robert: USA Net had 11 of the top 25 rather than 10.
Can we start taking bets on when USA prime time will be the highest rated among all NBC Universal channels? I say spring 2011, assuming NBC keeps going the way it does.
@Catherine – Here’s how the gender demos break out for Friday’s WHITE COLLAR:
W18-34: 1.0/4
W18-49: 1.3/4
W25-54: 1.6/4
M18-34: 1.0/4
M18-49: 1.2/4
M25-54: 1.4/4
@Master Moron – What date/time does that show air?
I can’t wait to see how the new SpongeBob movie will do!
again phineas and ferb gets a 4+ million views, but by the looks of it, the ratings will only decrease for this hit disney cartoon, by the way, isn’t phineas and ferb the highest rated cartoon show of all time in disney channel ?
This is even more proff that USA shows NCIS way too much. The show isn’t even good. Its running it into the ground.
Bring Back House.
i want Greek!
So basically, NCIS *IS* the most watched show on television, if you add up all the viewers from USA repeats and the episodes aired by CBS on tuesdays. I frakking LOVE that show!!!
TVBill, Naruto: Shippuden comes on Wednesdays at 8:30 PM on DisneyXD.
The problem with AMC (and watching Mad Men)is the constant commercials, and the ridiculous amount of “sniping” (I am told this is the term for the little supers that come in at the bottom of the frame announcing the show you are currently watching (duh!) and advertising for other shows). And these promos seem to be getting physically larger and more intrusive as time goes on.
AMC lost all credibility when they decided to add commercial breaks, show letterboxed films full frame, censor dialogue, and if I am not mistaken, edit scenes. Truly a disgusting way to treat “classics”.
If I want to watch Mad Men, I’ll download them and avoid AMC altogether.
Bring back the days of Bob Dorian and Nick Clooney!
