While still way,way off the record-breaking ratings of Jon & Kate Plus 8’s season premiere in May that averaged 9.8 million, la familia Gosselin, or at least Kate Gosselin, have rebounded from ratings lows. The viewer numbers have doubled in recent weeks from the lows where the Gosselins were averaging less than 2 million viewers.
Monday night’s special, Kate: Her Story averaged nearly 3.8 million viewers and a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating.
In head-to-head competition at 9pm on Monday night, Kate: Her Story dominated The CW’s Gossip Girl in most ratings categories and as ratings supplier extraordinaire “Travis Yanan” noted, Kate and TLC hit The CW’s Gossip Girl where it hurts: with CW’s target demo of Women 18-34.
Maybe Gossip Girl should be looking to stunt-cast Jon Gosselin:

First, The Hills (back mid season 3), now TLC’s Kate is overtaking Gossip Girl. That should signal something to the CW by now about GG….
just about *everything* (including some body parts <>) about KATE ~ is *FAKE*: her tears, her protests that she’s done “everything for her kids”, her personna that she’s a ‘poor single mother’ doing everything on her own, her denial that JON was the main reason their marriage broke up, and her denial that she put fame/fortune AHEAD of everything else. I have *no* respect for either HER/JON…IMO, they exploited their children and then let it all go ‘to their head’. The only TRUE VICTIMS are those 8 innocent kids. I wish JON/KATE would get out of the media spotlight and concentrate on their parental responsibilities. HASN’T THE POOR CHOICES THEY BOTH MADE ALL ALONG COST THEM ENOUGH!?!

I’m glad the show is still getting decent ratings. Kate is going to pay a ton in therapist bills when the kids grow up and realize what their parents did to them. That money has to come from somewhere.

TLC paid big bucks to have NBC and Natalie Morales interview Kate Gosselin only to boost last week’s ratings by 800,000 viewers? What a disappointment especially in light of the heavy promotion on the Today Show with Morales and Meredith Viera hyping the interview and NBC showing clips to intice viewers into tuning in. TLC threw a pity party for Kate Gosselin who is a no-talent celebrity wannabe. How much longer can they continue this freak show? Who knows. Who cares. They should have canceled the show months ago for the sake of those poor kids who made them all so rich. Disgusting!
I really hope this show gets cancelled fairly soon cause this whole immature thing that Jon and Kate have going has gotten old. On the other hand, it would be a shame if the show didn’t last long enough for viewers to see the two older kids get emancipated.

Well, unless you are watching NOVA documentaries on PBS 7 days a week, you have no right to judge.
It’s escapism, just like any other TV show.
Goofy sitcoms, silly reality shows, bad soap operas. It’s all TV, stop judging other people.
I do not understand people that watch shows like this, you are the reason these poor kids are going to need therapy. If no one watched this trash then it would hopefully quietly go away and the kids could have a life of their own.
Seriously Screw all of the people involved in this! Enough is enough & it was enough years ago! I sure hope people stop supporting anything to do w/this whole entire mess! I sure hope the kids can turn out halfway normal/decent. I know that most of the people on this site feel the same way & feel sorry for the kids too. I have a feeling if Jon & Kate were to meet themselves from 5 years ago, their younger selves would be sick w/the people they have become & would be disgusted w/what they have done w/both their lives & how they are supposedly “RAISING” the kids.

BTW, if the judge favors Gosselin over TLC in the lawsuit, say goodbye to reality TV shows. It will set a precedent that no network would be willing to risk taking.
