Update: see finals for adjustments. Castle didn’t drop, but Heroes did (a tenth, as did The Jay Leno Show) and Trauma dropped two-tenths. The Monday Night Football game aired in one of the local markets on the NBC affliate and those numbers were stripped out in the finals.
FOX got a bonus, not only did last night’s game 5 take the night for FOX with an adults 18-49 rating of 5.3 and averaging 17.1 million viewers, as a bonus the Phillies won and extended the series to six games, with game six this Wednesday night. That might not sound like such a big deal but it’s the first time the World Series has gone six games since 2003.
Last night’s game was the highest-rated in the demo and most-viewed Game 5 since 2003 (Yankees v Marlins on 10/23/03)
Dancing With the Stars averaged a 3.3 rating with adults 18-49, down 8 percent versus last week and the lowest-rated (with adults 18-49, at least) regularly scheduled performance show ever.
Heroes scored a 2.6 rating in the overnights with adults 18-49, actually up a tenth from last Monday’s preliminary 2.5 adults 18-49 rating. Trauma was actually up 11 percent to a 2.1 rating despite NBC announcing that it wouldn’t be ordering additional episodes.
Castle was down to a 2.4 adults 18-49 rating versus last week’s preliminary 2.5. Look for potential adjustment based on DWTS overrun.
CBS wasn’t at its peak versus the World Series, but its comedies were still strong, led by The Big Bang Theory’s 4.6 adults 18-49 rating.
Whether its versus a repeat of CSI: Miami or a new episode that pulled a 3.7 adults 18-49 rating, The Jay Leno Show ratings seem to stay the same. Last night’s Jay Leno Show averaged a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating, just like last week.
Late night:
- Conan O’Brien (0.8/4 in 18-49 in local people meters) trailed CBS’s LATE SHOW (0.9/4) in Nielsen’s 24 local markets with People Meters.
- At 12:35 a.m., Jimmy Fallon (0.5/3 in 18-49 in local people meters) finished behind CBS’s LATE LATE SHOW (0.6/4).

Definitions:
*Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs which are currently in approximately 24.4% of all U.S. TV households. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Jesus, we Castle fans just cannot catch a break.
The show was picked up for a full season. You could be in the shape Eastwick and The Forgotten are in!
I’d take House over those stupid baseball games any day. But apparently that’s just me. Great numbers for FOX.
Castle seems like a nice show, but seeing those numbers.. I’m not gonna get invested, sorry.
BBT was good last night, not particularly hilarious, but still good enough to deserve those great ratings.
Yeah, the full season pick-up WAS a break.
Interesting that Heroes seems to be trending up slightly over the last few weeks. Meanwhile I guess people were so glad Trauma was cancelled they decided to watch to celebrate
Castle fans have gotten nothing BUT breaks. This is the most coddled show on TV right now. The moment it stops being coddled, it’ll REALLY start dropping.
Fox must be pretty happy. I just hope the Yankees win on Wednesday so Bones isn’t preempted.
YAY for Heroes! Trauma is doing better which is weird…NBC is probably having second thoughts, but its expensive enough that it’ll stay cancelled.
Another Phillies win Wednesday = Fox *really* happy.
Time to get the bingo cards out?
Yesterdays episode of Heroes was not bad, and i enjoyed it.
damn! Castle is soooo good, i dont understand how it went down so much, i mean after the adjustment, im expecting a 2.2, AGAIN! i thought it got past that, but i gess not, all well im just going to enjoy my full season of castle, and who knows, weirder scenarios have happened in which a mediocre rated show was picked up, so ill hope, but i wont bet on it, unless it can get back over to a 2.5, ugh
you know what’s funny? The most despised and ribbed of the three CSI, it’s actually the highest-rated of the three.
Monday Night Football, locally last night
New Orleans: WDSU NBC 7
Atlanta: WGCL CBS 9
ABC gets exactly what it deserves with its “lowest-rated (18-49)… ever.” ABC is greedily trying to fill two hours of every Monday with DWTS, even as the contestants dwindle, and the result is a show bloated with filler. Yes, many millions of people continue to watch, but the show is depleting its “viewer capital,” so to speak — this snoozeworthiness will come back to punish them. Another issue is that after all these years, the three judges have thoroughly exhausted their collective repertoire of praise and criticism. As a result, their responses are almost as tired and predictable as the show’s ever-expanding “star” contestant choices, which are transparently contrived to tap various demographic groups. Been there, done that!
For some reason I’m not even concerned about Castle’s numbers. It’s never going to beat CSI: Miami and it would certainly not compete with baseball. Not to mention if the football game played a factor too.
The baseball was down from Sunday but still did incredibly well, ABC and CBS did well against it although I believe CBS was prempted in Atlanta for MNF so that could affect the figures, if I’m not mistaken, HIMYM was up but I think that was due to no House. CSI: Miami was down due to baseball but the demo is better than CSI and CSI: NY.
One Tree Hill is doing better than Dawn’s baby Gossip Girl but it’s likely to have been outdrawn by GG in the women 18-34 demo.
NBC just can’t catch a break. The minute it cancels Trauma, it goes over a 2 rating.
Show table added above in the post. Still waiting for hourly time zone adjusted World Series breakout
Go Heroes!!!
Heroes was pretty good last night, I like where the story is going. It seems some viewers that weren’t watching are coming back to see what’s going on. All in all a good thing.
That was Fast
“I just hope the Yankees win on Wednesday so Bones isn’t preempted.”
And I thought I WAS BAD when I was a kid! CBS had the Movie SOYLENT GREEN scheduled the week of the NBA Finals, and I was rooting for a team to win so the Movie would be televised. (For the record that team, the Philadelphia 76ers, Won the Game and the Championship that day, so I got to see the Movie.):)
Wasn’t Bones and Fringe going to prempted anyway in case it went to another game, I don’t know what the chances of that happening but I bet FOX are hoping for another Phillies win and CBS, NBC and ABC are hoping the Yankees win.
HEROES FTW!!!
Well according to JR, ABC didnt air the football games which means these #s are about right. Wow Dancing is very low this season! Its only getting mid to low 3s? Thats just horrible! Castle may drop but probably only to a 2.2 or 2.3.
Trauma beat Heroes in viewers.
If they’re already scheduled to be pre-empted, Fox will most likely just air repeats.
@ Jon
According to the Futon Critic (which is almost always dead on accurate when it comes to scheduling), if there’s no baseball on Thursday, then Fox will show a new episode of Bones and Fringe.
Canceled Trauma had more people watch it last night than both Heroes and The Jay Leno Show. Awesome.
@rob
wWell thats because stupid NBC changed the time slot from 9 to 8pm. now if NBC were so smart and hadn’t changed the timeslot, then Heroes would’ve got higher in ratings.
It’s not like Trauma went up to a 5.3 or something. Granted, it had a modest improvement, but I doubt it’s enough to make NBC think twice about not ordering more episodes. If it was a 5.3, that would be a different story.
rob, you’re correct. It’s the CBS and NBC shows in somewhat more risk for downward adjustment in the final ratings this week.
Anonymous, CSI: Miami also has less competition than the other CSIs. I usually just shut off the TV at 10 on Mondays since there’s nothing to watch on network or cable television.
hmm GG got beaten by oth again. Its patethic that a show in its 7th season is beting a show in its 3rd yr. And OTH isnt a good show anymore.
YAY for BBT I hope it goes up to 4.8 in the final.
YAY HEROES????
You mean they’ve risen from the ashes of their measly ratings to have slightly less measly ratings. Numbers that when first seen a year ago had fans devastated. You’re right. YAY HEROES!
I want a 7 game series. That said, that’s impressive numbers for FOX. I see that baseball being on didn’t help the CW’s narrow demo targets. Jeter apparently won that one, too.
gossip girl down to 1.9 ? ihihihihihihihihihihihih dawn must be proud of her creature..
CBS has certainly taken their sweet time waiting to pick up “Accidentally on Purpose.” (Then again, I seem to recall “Gary Unmarried” not being picked up until after they had taped their original 13.) That show would be wise to make Andrew Weyman their permanent director. He’s gotten much better performances and energy out of these actors than the others directors they’ve used. He’s also made the show funny.
Gossip Girl sucks. No wonder why ratings have been bad lately!
Robert,
Do you think ABC looks back at a show like Boston Legal that they prematurely canceled thinking they should have kept it going. With NBC the one it is they might have actually gained viewers. With the cost associated with the show might they have been better off keeping it or maybe trimming the cost some?
I wonder if 2.6 is going to be enough for heroes to continue for another season?
Jocor- a 2.6 in the demo is great for NBC.
I wonder if heroes will ever get above a 3 again. I think it has the potential, especially if they move it back into the 9pm timeslot. This season has been really good. I’m glad I stuck through season 3.
The Heroes episode was great. I think the writers sense the series is on its way out, so they are making an effort to come full circle with the story in order to let it go out on a good note.
iupi!!!!!!
OTH beating GG…. nothing is better than this!!!!!
Love OTH….. go 7th season!!!!!!!!
Hope V beats all tonight!!!!
@Jocor, you know nothing. In season 3 Heroes went from a 5, to a 3. This season started with a 2.7, and bottomed out at a 2.4. Any growth is good for a serialized show. It shows people are willing to get back into the story.
Yeah Castle fans dont be worried until around March. Forgotten and Eastwick fans however, you should be worried. Its odd Heroes and Trauma were both up the night that a world series game aired. With Accidentally as the only bubble show for the night Id say while the numbers have dropped, expect additional episodes to be ordered soon.
Dan, while Castle fans will likely worry continuously, I doubt their worries will be ended (positively or negatively) until May. What do you think is happening in March?
Delusional Forgotten and Eastwick fans can still “worry”, but their shows are dead, better they just come to terms with that.
Sorry Riff — I think last night’s Accidentally was actually the weakest I’ve seen yet. The performances weren’t very good at all. In fact, they were horrible. Those two friends of hers had absolutely nothing to do. Grant Show isn’t the least bit funny and his character is ridiculous. And those two young guys are simply AWFUL! And poor Jenna Elfman. The writers had the guy pee on her last night. Not funny. Just kind of sad and gross. And uncomfortable to watch. The numbers are just okay on this show but creatively it seems to floundering. Like no one knows exactly what the show is or is supposed to be. I say bring back Rules now and extend their order. At least that show is good for some laughs!
Are Claire and Gretchen a couple now?
A small ratings victory for Heroes again. I know it’s ratings aren’t great but you can’t compare NBC ratings vs the other networks right now. As far as an NBC scripted show it’s still one of the top ones they have and for that reason I still think it will be around another year.
Once again The Jay Lame-o Show outperforms (narrowly) a whopping total of TWO prime time shows (OTH & GG) both on The CW (read, Complete Waste) Network. It is mind-boggling that NBC, Leno, or the affiliates could possibly be pleased with the mess they have created — all because they wanted to keep Carrot Top’s spastio albino look-a-like in late night!
It’s nice to see something can beat Two Men & Dancing with the Dweebs…go FOX ! one more Monday closer to “24″
YAY for HIMYM It was a great episode!
So there are still chances to see Bones and Fringe this thursday?
I just love the show. I can’t believe that the ratings for Castle went down a bit. I’m glad they got picked up for a full season.
Real reason that Heroes is trending up- after the announcement that Chuck might be back on the tv earlier than March, all of us fans tuned in to it’s old Monday time slot with Subway sandwich in hand and started the countdown.
Chuck-Chuck-Chuck rules, Dancing with the Stars drools!!!
Sorry I couldn’t help myself!
@ Master Moron:
I wasn’t implying that CSI:Miami is better than the other two, actually I don’t watch any of the three CSI. I was making an observation from a merely ratings’ point of view. ;.)
I’m not sure I’d call Trauma an increase. 0.2 of Lie to Me’s audience would rather watch Trauma than baseball. Woo?
And can we officially kill the “Leno does better in repeats” idea? It might tick up slightly during dead months like December or June, but on a week by week vs. repeats basis, it just isn’t happening.
you can’t compare NBC ratings vs the other networks right now.
except on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday?
@Chuck’s biggest fan, I seriously doubt that’s the case.
@sdfsd @Jon
If there is no Game 7, then Bones and Fringe will air new. They have been playing tons of commercials for the new episodes, with the small disclaimer at the bottom “if no baseball game”. I guess they counted the Phillies out after those few bad games in a row.
I am a Phillies fan and am torn between wanting a game 7/possible Phillies repeat WS win and wanting my Thursday night Fox shows back. The commercials haven’t been helping!
Bobby Brady writes, “I say bring back Rules now and extend their order. At least that show is good for some laughs!”
I say don’t. And since they clearly hate that show anyway (I think spending 5 months last season running the 100% laugh-free “Worst Week” — which drove away an impressive one third of the “Two and a Half Men” lead-in week after week — speaks volumes), they won’t.
Great numbers for the World Series. This should insure baseball being picked up for another season.
Bummer on the Castle ratings drop- I love that show and recommend it to everyone I know (who then watch it and love it too). So sad the ratings aren’t going up. I was looking forward to at least another book (since the sales have to be way better than what they expected, especially since they had to print more books due to the demand) but don’t see that happenning if they don’t renew for a season 3.
Im certainly not surprised Castle’s ratings were down. I am in NJ and I think Im the only person in the state who isn’t watching the world series.
Gee I guess that with Castle it was me falling asleep that put the ratings down
. Of course Castle does come on at 11:30 pm here as we are 1 1/2 hours ahead of eastern standard time, so that is my excuse and I am sticking to it.
The funny thing is that Castle is the only show that I actually tried to watch on live TV last night. Otherwise we watched Weeds recorded off the computer and Streamed Dexter over the the internet.
I got a kick out of anonymous saying CSI:Miami is the most despised and ribbed of the three CSI. I don’t think “despised” is correct, but you’re right about “ribbed”. Maybe it has something to do with “starring Large Ham & Cheese” pulling off his sunglasses every two seconds to the strains of a Who song? People make fun of that, but it doesn’t mean they don’t find it entertaining!
I thought Worst Week was great, hated to see it go. I’m down to only one Monday night CBS comedy that I watch (BBT).
when are they going to give Accidentally On Purpose a full season?
Yay for Heroes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Up again!!!!!!
So Castle improved (slightly) 3 straight weeks then has a somewhat big drop. Is that normal? I figured last weeks improvement was a false hope because CSI was a repeat. I know my friends that watch Castle was watching the baseball game instead last night.
So while it’ll likely drop to a 2.3 (maybe 2.2) this week it’s possible it can be back up to a 2.4 next week.
CSI: Miami fits perfectly on with the Monday Night Comedies because it’s unintentionally funny. Even the cast of CSI: Miami know it and play up to it. If you want serious drama, watch CSI and CSI: NY.
OTH was never good. Its just more crappy now, that’s all.
Heroes will continue 4 another year, nbc has worse issues. Trauma needs to trend up every week to at least a 2.5 for NBC to even consider extending past 13. It won’t happen and the announcement that 13 is it will stand.
so Trauma rating is going up and there is no chance for NBC ordering more epsiodes
U didnt complete the table on top with the averages of each network.
They’ve been showing promos for new Bones and Fringe if there is no baseball but they never say “if no baseball” it’s written at the end of the promo. They did the same thing for new House on Nov. 2 during game 2 of the World Series and for SYTYCD during the ALCS.
Given that ABC Studios produces Castle, expect the breaks to keep on coming. All that ancillary revenue they receive from it will help keep it on so long as it stays in the mid 2.0’s. I think we have all seen that the numbers needed for renewal have shrunk dramatically the past couple of years, and since it airs in one of the toughest slots in television, when people are either watching football, CSI, or all the shows they DVRed earlier in the night, I cannot help but think ABC is fine with these ratings.
Unless it starts sliding, I’d be surprised if it is not back next season.
FWIW, this is the second week in a row that Trauma has improved.
Richard Castle’s book, “HEAT WAVE,” has been on the New York Times Best Seller List for four straight weeks. This past week it rose to #6, which is very impressive for a book based on a TV show.
Almost half of Castle’s audience is men, mostly because of Nathan Fillion’s draw and Firefly audience, but also, because Stana Katic is Super-Hot and attracts men too. We as men, tend to like sporting events, so when you have Monday Night Football along with Game 5 of the World Series, I’m not suprised we lost a little.
However, Dancing With The Stars 18-49 Demo was only a 3.3, so if Castle ends up between a 2.2 or stays at 2.4 in the Demo, it is still almost two-thirds of the Dancing With The Stars Demo retention. As a fan of Dancing With The Stars from the very beginning, I can honestly say that Dancing isn’t nearly as exciting as it was evan two or three seasons ago! Bruno is still entertaining as ever as a judge, Carry Ann is still okay, but Len(the old English judge), needs to be replaced pronto. He seems disengaged most of this season, and is no longer entertaining with his jaded, old-school demeanor; and his I wish I was anywhere but here – but hey, at least I’m collecting a paycheck expressions and apathetic demeanor needs to go!
I think that behind the aging and diminishing Dancing With The Stars Demo audience, Castle has grown as far as it can; and with ABC not promoting Castle at all, except 10 minutes before it airs, we need either a hot 18-49 demo show at 9:30 leading into Castle, or switch the show to Wednsday’s at 10:00, behind the Comedy Block, which Castle has more in common with anyway!
I think that Castle is not that bad isn’t it? It has pretty much the same ratings as Bones! Or not?
AOP is the weak link for CBS Monday nights. They should bring back Rules of Engagement.
OTH is amazing.
It’s been getting better every year despite losing 2 core characters.
GG should get canned. I hear even GG fans can’t watch anymore cause it’s so boring.
Can’t wait for Chuck to come back!
And I agree Dan ^, I missed most of Season 6, but this year is really good.
@himym fan,
I think that Castle is not that bad isn’t it? It has pretty much the same ratings as Bones! Or not?
Ummm…not. Bones has been averaging a 2.8 or 2.9. If Castle was getting that, it would be safe for a renewal.
Castle’s ratings aren’t really bad, but they aren’t good either.
The big news of the season(and mondays) really is the huge ratings increase for the big bang theory. I have never watched the show but I love a little show like this that slowly builds an audience and then all of the sudden just EXPLODES! It makes tracking the ratings that much more fun!
Thanks Holly!
Heroes finally figured out that it doesn’t have to be about EVERY character every week. Plus, they’ve weaved-in a nice lesbian storyline to keep the men interested.
Might want to recall that Bones has gotten the ratings it predictably gets in all kinds of timeslots, and mainly with no lead-in of any kind, in 8pm timeslots–which are frequently affected by people staying out later in the warm months. It’s performing FAR better than Castle, relative to expectations.
“you know what’s funny? The most despised and ribbed of the three CSI, it’s actually the highest-rated of the three.”
CSI:NY is the highest rated CSI show?
I seriously don’t get why people expect Accidentally on Purpose to get a full season order. It is not going to happen. They have 13 episodes of Rules of Engagement to air. There is simply no place to air a full season of AOP. By the way, don’t accuse me of being biased. I like AOP and hate ROE. I wish AOP would get a full season. However, it just doesn’t make sense. I expect it to get 3 more episodes like Worst Week did last year.
Bill – I think Castle will finish up its episodes around March, or April and its possible a new drama or True Beauty will fill the slot. Castle’s never aired without Dancing so lets see the show does in January out of The Bachelor. At least its likely both Eastwick and Forgotten will air most of their episodes. The shows may be performing badly but ABC doesnt really have replacements until January.
Can we make a movement to keep TRAUMA around-
Anyone catch last nights episode? I mean WOW, it was so good, they are getting into developing the characters and the action is just amazing-
Anyone think there is any chance of NBC giving it a full order after announcing that it wasn’t last week?
Any chance someone else would pick it up?
Has anyone been watching- last night was a GREAT episode- just WOW!!!
Trent – Accidentally’s retention isnt bad, its just not full season worthy. CBS hasnt axed a comedy in the fall since 2002’s Bram & Alice so I expect CBS to give Accidentally on Purpose 17-20 episodes. Its likely the series will continue for the season just because of Jenna Elfman and since its a pregancy story, just to finish that out. Rules is likely to replace Accidentally by March but its possible that Rules could return earlier. It could double up and temporarily replace Gary Unmarried repeats on the side.
Rod – Theres no chance of Trauma getting picked up by another network.
ive always watched The WB/CW but never really watched One Tree Hill but im really surprised its lasted 7 season and still managed to keep its steady ratings…even with losing 2 main charactors….
i dont think Gossip Girl will have that longevity especially with its up and down mediocre ratings…
Too bad NBC was pre-empted because Heroes and Trauma would’ve been up.
Castle holding steady, should be interesting next Monday as there’s no World Series to go against.
World Series ratings are awful, I know a good MNF game was on Raw on USA but come on only 15 million viewers for a championship game 5.
Time for a salary cap MLB.
Ryan – Gossip Girl will have longetivity. Ratings arent great, but every current show except Melrose Place should return in 2010-2011.
Dan: Accidently’s ratings are pretty good, so why asume they wont get a full season order or a renue? and the ratings are kicking any comedy on NBC’s ass.. lol
and the show to me is super good, and i think CBS Monday has they best comedy night on TV except two and a half men, which i find so boring, im shocked at how good its ratings are.
Lol how do you figure these world series are awful? Am I missing something here? Do you remember the ratings for the last few WS? Football kills baseball on a normal night and last nights Monday night football game was by the far the most anticipated game in YEARS!
HAHA gossip girl, time to cancel the show, lame stunt casting brings the ratings down further
Sometimes I just don’t get it, Trauma had more viewers than Heroes, and a much better show. Heroes just seems to be going round in circles showing stuff from it’s only good Season (1) to try and gain back viewers. Too little too late.
Robert how ironic would it be for trauma to end it’s run on good ratings for nbc standards? Would it lead to more people making fun of nbc?
I can try to imagine more people making fun of NBC, but it’s like trying to imagine the vastness of the universe. It’s beyond my limited capabilities.
I don’t see why NBC is giving up on Trauma so easily when it could easily be matched with Mercy and get the same ratings Mercy are getting and grow from there.
NBC just keeps holding onto to that dinosaur Heroes but I guess money and syndication comes into play for that show.
Spoke too soon. “Accidentally on Purpose” picked up today. Perhaps somebody saw my post…
Only 5 episodes, Riff, not a full back 9 pick-up.
I think Accidentally will get the same treatment that Worst Week got last year with a last minute order for more episodes, and then no word until the 2010-11 schedule gets announced in May.
Picked up is picked up. What’s the opposite? Not picked up. I’m sure Carol Barbee and her big brother would kill to only get 5 more episodes.
Sitcom-wise CBS basically has 2 mega-hits (BBT, 2&HM), a solid hit (HIMYM) and then 4 fairly middling and interchangeable shows (Christine, AoP, Rules, GU). None of these are really strong enough to standalone and deliver a decent rating, tho all do reasonably when in a cushy hammock slot. They will probably will bring back 3 of these 4 back next year, so if AoP can maintain its recent improvements i’d suggest it has a good shot at renewal. Mainly as its produced in-house and there is more upside to renewing it than any of the other 3 similarly performing shows, all of which i believe are produced by other studios.
Glad to see Heroes go up some. This season is a lot better than season three. And I’m glad were gonna see what happened Mohinder.
I like Gossip Girl, but would rather have 90210 renewed if it came down to choosing.
I’m guessing that the World Series Games affected the ratings significantly on other shows.
Tommy – Thats very likely to happen. Accidentally ends early so Rules can return. Like The Class and Worst Week ending early. If Rules retains better out of Mother than Accidentally, it should be renewed. I could see out of the four bubble comedies, Rules of Engagement and Gary Unmarried returning to anchor wednesdays. I could see the waning Old Christine getting the boot, which may give ABC willingness to pick it up. I dont see Accidentally getting another year at all. Its not that type of show and its retention isnt great.
One Tree Hill

GG pulled the same W18-34 ratings as OTH. Ostroff’s baby needs a major boost.
There’s a major surprise coming for Heroes, tim kring, jeff zucker and nbc.
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it just me, or was last night’s Heroes one of the best episodes I’ve seen in the entire series? The writing was superb, and the time traveling didn’t F everything up like it had been over seasons 2 and 3. So great.
I thought Eastwick was a good idea. I started watching the first ep, and I thought, hey, it could fill the Gilmore Girls kind of gap… then they introduced the main guy, the sexy ‘baddy’ or whatever. I know, it was Jack Nicholson in the movie, but come on- the guy in Eastwick is so seedy, and (to me) so unattractive, he’s horrible, and yet you’re meant to believe all the main characters find him sexy? he just made me want to take a shower, it was like, ugh… I didn’t even make it through to the end of episode one. You just can’t miscast a main actor that the show’s first-year success is going to rely on… so it comes as no shock it’s pretty much dead in the water already!
Is there any chance trama be not be canccled if the ratings get better??
Castle fans, you must, MUST, stay strong.
Someone has to keep Nathan on a network payroll so he can play with the Joss Whedon gang during his hiatus and make fun, quirky stuff with his friends.
Plus, the show is perfect for 10 pm … runs like a dream, not too deep, pretty cast (though I am not a fan of replacing Tamala Jones’ medical examiner with Arye Gross) and it’s a rollicking ride.
Save Castle!
glad for heroes having more faith in american viewers now bring it more up peeps come on! love heroes heroes for life!
My money is on TRAUMA– pick it up! Pick it up! PICK IT UP! NBC!
Trauma is a frickin great show. You just have to WATCH it. Only if they didn’t air the pilot, darn! WATCH IT!!!!! Its incredible now!
TRAUMA!
NBC has already stated that Trauma will cap at 13 episodes. It seems everything that airs after Heroes gets axed. (Studio 60, Black Donnellys, Journeyman, My Own Worst Enemy and now Trauma) Well good bye.
R.I.P. Trauma
