Santa Monica, CA (November 4, 2009) – Nothing is off limits as Chris Brown talks to MTV News to give viewers the most revealing and candid interview yet, as “Chris Brown: The Interview” premieres on Friday, November 6th at 6pm ET/PT on MTV. In this 30-minute special, the R&B artist finally answers questions people have been asking and opens up about the aftermath of his assault on his former girlfriend Rihanna in Los Angeles last February. Sitting down in a Virginia recording studio with MTV News’ Sway, Chris speaks openly about his widely criticized Larry King interview, the public’s perception of him and how he has poured his emotions into his new album.
Going from an up-and-coming music star to hearing comments like “woman beater,” Chris discusses the struggle to adapt to the public’s new perception of him and how fans might react at his concerts. He goes into detail about his on-going anger management therapy, court-mandated weekly group sessions and his community labor sentence, all of which have helped him evaluate his past behavior and express his feelings in his new songs. Chris also talks about celebrities who have reach out to him including Will Smith, Diddy, Busta Rhymes and David Banner.
Directly after the special airs, fans can visit mtvnews.com to watch the entire interview and find out the latest news.

It’d be refreshing if he were actually honest to the fans. “Im a jerk that likes to hit women. I like things MY WAY and I don’t care what you think of me. You all will forgive me because you are a bunch of sheep that will do whatever the media tells you to do. This interview is just that. After this, you will continue to love me and worship me. Now, go buy my cd.”
Chris Brown still has “fans” left?
actually yeah Chris Brown still has ALOT of fans out there.
i could care less about this interview but its really annoying how people are still talking down on him. he made a mistake let it go.
if any grown person honestly believes that their favorite singer, athlete, politican, etc has never hit a woman or that no woman in the history or the world has ever hit a man (because as much as a man shouldn’t put his hands on a woman a woman shouldn’t hit a man either) then they’re idiots.
still this interview will be the typical celebrity interview.
oh and just the mention his song is already #24 on the Hot 100 and the video just came out (so it’ll probably move up)
Uhh, he punched a women in her face and slammed her head against a window and dashboard, yes were still gonna talk down to him. It was a mistake but lets be serious, people are not going to forget about it that easliy. And last time I checked his concert tickets were barely selling. He still has fans but he lost a lot too.
Oh and yes I do believe my favorite singer, athlete, politician, etc has never hit a woman. Its that kind of attitude that thinking this is an everyday thing so its alight is wrong.
i’ve read alot of the reports of what happened that night and nowhere was it certain that he hit her head against the dashboard and window. i could be wrong and if i am i’ll glady accept that. but if i say he spit in her face does that mean its true? no.
the tickets to his concerts have only been on sale for 2 weeks so theres no way to tell if they’re selling slow or not. the only way to tell how much support he has at the moment is by looking at the Billboard charts.
and let me re-phrase what i said…if you do believe that your favroite singer, athlete, politician, etc has never abused their “partner” (male or female) then theres something wrong (its not nice to call people idiots) and mind you abuse is abuse be it mental or psysical. i know my favorite politician has (Bill Clinton), it seems every athlete cheats on his or her husband/wife.
Just because Perez Hilton said he has a “SOURCE” doesn’t mean anything about tickets sells. lol I just ATL and it’s sold-out. I check Houston and Chicago it close.
