After a terrible pilot last week, the second episode of The League was really funny. I hope more people check this out because this is the pairing with It’s Always Sunny that FX has been searching for.
I heart Sunny!!! I have since season 1 baby!!
Glad SUNNY is keeping it real!
I’m glad the League was up. I watched the pilot and laughed my ass off. The second episode was just as good if not better. Jon Lajoie is absolutely perfect. Good to see Sunny has a good pairing.
It’s kind of good that less people watched last week for the Sunny wrestling episode (bad) and the League premiere — because they were both pretty terrible. Last night was much better and more of what they probably want people to take away from watching.
Good for Sunny, but I couldn’t care less about the League.
Hope FX realizes they have a winner on their hands with “The League” and gives it a lot more than 6 episodes to grow. Besides, I need my Nadine Velazquez fix. That soundalike they got on the lousy “My Name Is Earl” clone FOX is trotting out this January isn’t gonna cut it.
The League rocks!
Sunny is an awesome show and has been from the start. I like League for the Fantasy football jokes, otherwise it comes off like an extended commercial of the cliche slobby looking white guy with a hot wife, and he always has to “escape” from her and her activities. it’s just been overdone to death in movies, TV, and commercials.
And then every new TV show or commercial (like nfl.com, Office, COmmunity, Parks & Rec, etc.) has the same exact type of joke, where people are in a normal environment and then someone says something dorky or weird but doesn’t realize they are weird, and then everyone looks at each other like Jim and Pam. It was funny the first time, but I can’t escape it anymore. I think comedy needs to evolve a bit in advertising and TV, with shows like Sunny and The Dating Guy.
