Cable ratings: NFL Football, SpongeBob and Fanboy & Chum Chum top weekly cable charts

New SpongeBob content typically means ultra-absorbency and that was the case with the new Spongebob Truth or Square soaking up the next two spots after Monday Night Football.   New Spongebob served as a nice lead-in for newcomer Fanboy & Chum Chum which took the fourth and sixth spots in this week’s top 25 with its premiere.

It didn’t take long for USA’s White Collar to slip off the Top 25 list, it’s 3.848 million placed it around 41st for the week. If you’re looking for info on Mad Men or Keeping Up With the Kardashian’s,  or Stargate Universe, please use our site’s search feature as it has already been posted…

Sadly, I’ve made the decision to no longer field requests.  We always post whatever data we see via press release or other trade publications already.  You can  subscribe to our RSS feed and  you can also follow @TravisYanan on Twitter.  During the week he usually posts some (not all) cable results for each weekday, usually late in the afternoon on the east coast (and Friday night data isn’t posted until Monday) and he posts the links to that info on his Twitter account to the info on Marc Berman’s PI Forums.  You can also follow me on Twitter, sometimes I will post some cable ratings, though I am not taking requests there either…

  1. Shelley says:

Wow, talk about an attack of the SpongeBob episodes! lol

  2. el mike says:

hey do you know the numbers for spike on Saturday night?

  3. TVBill says:

@el mike – Ultimate Fighter Unleashed (8pm) 0.916 million; UFC Main Events (9:01pm) 1.195 million

  4. chrisjozo says:

White Collar seems to be settling into the same range of viewers as Psych. While its not as good as the first two episode’s ratings its still a good level. It’s a good show with a slightly different take on the cop procedural genre.

  5. Adam says:

whoa! no wizards of waverly place!? how sad…

  6. steve says:

Ouch for white collar but if can maintain around that my guess would be it comes back for a 2nd season.

  7. Adam, not in the top 25. It was down almost a million from last week and wasn’t even in the top 40, but I don’t follow those things closely enough to know whether they opted out of competing w/a new SpongeBob special and aired a repeat

  8. Easten76 says:

People still watch the outdated Spongebob?

White Collar is a little high-class to watch at times. It should be a little bit more like Burn Notice.

  9. Michael says:

I figured that this had to happen with White Collar at some point. It certainly isn’t Burn Notice quality (in my opinion) and as such didn’t really deserve Burn Notice type ratings. Honestly, I don’t think it deserves Psych level ratings (I love that show!). It will be interesting to see where it settles.

  10. Master Moron says:

TVBill asked me in the last Cable Ratings report when Naruto: Shippuden aired. It airs Wednesday at 8:30 on DisneyXD, so if he’s reading this I hope that will help him to find ratings for it.

  11. TVBill says:

@Master Moron – Sorry. Last I had checked, you hadn’t responded. This past Wednesday, 11/4, Naruto: Shippuden at 8:30 scored 0.655 million viewers. (Looks like there were 3 episodes, repeats maybe, from 9:30 til 11. They got 0.203m, 0.209m, and 0.216m, respectively).

  12. Master Moron says:

Thank you so much! I know they showed one repeat later that night, but I wasn’t aware of the other two. Thanks for posting all the ratings. I really appreciate it.

  13. TVBill if we had TVbytheNumbers merchandise (as Julia is always suggesting) you (and Travis) would for sure get a coffee mug and a sweat shirt. Thanks as always!

  14. el mike says:

    thanks TVBill

  15. TVBill says:

LOL – thanks, Robert. Before I started getting cable ratings directly, I relied on this site for info. Now that I do get them, I’m happy to share info whenever I can. Us ratings junkies gotta have each others’ backs! :-D

  16. Jon says:

I think White Collar was hit by 20/20 as Sanctuary was down too, still a good result and USA must be pleased how it’s doing, I think it will be renewed for a second season but it will be interesting between it and Psych, who gets Monk’s slot.

    Spongebob is King!

  17. Jim says:

Do you know if the Ed, Edd n’ Eddy Big Picture Show movie(Cartoon Network Sunday 7 PM Eastern) was above or below 3 million viewers?

  18. TVBill says:

Jim, it was below. It got 2.268 million….

  19. Stephany says:

Wooow! Way to go, SpongeBob! Absorbing those ratings forever! :D

  20. Kyle B says:

How’s Star Wars The Clone Wars doing? I hate asking, since requests for info aren’t taken. Scrolling thru Travis Yanan’s site postings, hasn’t turned up anything. Where can one gain access to this data, so we won’t have to pelt site runners for minuscule details they don’t have time or interest in looking at?

  21. Kyle, if you use our site search for “Star Wars Clone Wars” you can find some info in the ratings notes we get from Cartoon Network about the kids demos it targets. They didn’t write about it though in this weeks notes.

  22. Delsy says:

    Goooo Spongebob

  23. ROFAP says:

OMG! You have to be kidding! The O’Reilly Factor and Hannity are in the top 25 Cable Shows. I would rather watch SpongeBob any day of these lunatic jokers.

  24. Trent says:

Anyone have any information on my “favorite” (sarcastic) show “The Clone Wars”? I’m just curious to know how far it has fallen.

  25. Kongame says:

Any chance of ratings for Kate’s (the Kate & Kate + Kate show fka Jon & Kate + 8) trip down memory lane Monday 11/9?
    Thanks in advance as always!

  26. Kongame says:

(Don’t know why that came out funky above?) That should have read the show fka Jon & Kate + 8.
    Thanks again.

  27. TVBill says:

Monday’s fka Jon & Kate got 1.615 million… Last week’s new CLONE WARS aired on Wednesday night (instead of the usual Friday, not sure why) and got 1.452 million…

  28. Kongame says:

Thanks SO much TVBill!! You Rock!!

  29. tarheel-pck says:

    Fox News Dominates!

  30. enoc says:

hey where is phineas and ferb?

  31. Trent says:

Thanks for the info on “Clone Wars.” 1.4 million people? Wow. That is…. sucky. Wonder how long they can keep this up, they meaning both Lucas and Cartoon Network. At some point, doesn’t it seem it actually HURTS whatever value is left in the once-great “Star Wars” brand to keep a show on the air that attracts so few people and only underscores how UNpopular “Star Wars” is these days?

  32. Kongame says:

    TVBill,
2nd last week of begging for ‘Kate & Kate throw Jon under the bus’ (fka Jon & Kate + 8)numbers. If you have both 1/2 hours from 11/16 (both were ‘new’ crapfests), it’d be super appreciated!!
    As always, much thanks!!

  33. Jalen People says:

Can Someone Please Give Me Numbers For:
    House of Payne @ 8:00pm & 8:30pm on TBS
    Meet The Browns @ 9:00pm & 9:30pm on TBS

    Thanks Allot!

    Both Aired On November 4th
