  1. mark-allen says:

good for world turns…would hate to see that go as well.

  2. michael says:

yes thank god for atwt i hope the viewers would keep going up

  3. Shem says:

GH improved a whole lot this week. Days is slowly coming up to B&B!

  4. BF says:

All in all, excellent week for ATWT!

  5. Willie says:

I’m so happy ATWT ratings are on the rise. This is my favorite soap and the storylines and acting has been amazing. I know that ATWT can pull a Days move and get those ratings up. What’s working is the combination of good ol’ fashion storytelling and good actors.

  6. MisterB says:

I am thrilled to see ATWT ratings increase. I hope it continues the show is moving in the right direction. They have an idea of what the fans want to watch.

  7. JNewt says:

I’ll throwout some of Thursday’s ratings and all of Friday’s ratings since the parade was on in the northeast and people watching continuing coverage of the shootings. Everything else was a positive for the soaps.

The soaps are having a better sweeps period than last year.

  8. Catherine says:

GH was a Jonathan Jackson bump.

  9. Ilse says:

Notice how ATWT and GH ratings are the only ratings that went up. Just very happy ATWT is doing better, hope they can keep it this way.

  10. rodshooter says:

Next week is going to be a huge booster week for the soaps with Veterans Day in the picture. Wouldn’t be surprised if I see most of the soaps get 100,000-200,000 extra viewers.

    DAYS is on FIRE!

  11. michael says:

i hope atwt can get that many viewers next week

  12. Trina C says:

    yay ATWT and Days!!

  13. TimsDale4ever says:

Too funny. Can’t you just see them now? AMC, ATWT, and OLTL. All trying wild shit stories to stay off the bottom after the bloodshed of GL. Each week after the ratings come out I can hear the execs: “Ah shit, I thought we would’ve done better than that”. “Quick, who can we kill”? “Do we need another gay character”? “Another back from the dead story”? “How ’bout someone shows up claiming to be someone else’s child”?….. It must be a trip to work in daytime television now.

  14. qucheey says:

I could care less about the ratings of any of the other shows, now that Guiding Light is gone… OLTL will probably go next, and ATWT… and after that, who knows… Soaps are soon going to be a thing of the past.. and without GL.. I could care less!!

  15. BH says:

Unfortunately though, ATWT was still very low in the key demos, which is what ultimately matters – a 0.9 in women 18-49 and 0.6 in women 18-34. They need to start bringing up those numbers ASAP.

  16. P. M. R. says:

As a long time Y&R and B&B viewer, I have been losing interest in these two shows rapidly (especially B&B). How that won the emmy for best show is mind boggling. That show is just riduiculous. I have switched to ATWT and LOVE IT. I hope the ratings continue to grow. Great acting and storytelling. Easily the best soap now airing.

  17. Stacia says:

General Hospital is the most dramatic and funny soap operas out there. Excellent lighting and great acting. Not wooden like on B&B. No offense. Sarah Joy Brown left GH for B&B so I had to check it out. Ugh. I don’t know what she was thinking!

  18. alien0 says:

Sorry.. but you forgot to put stargate universe on the list =)

  19. Ivan says:

I’m happy ATWT ratings are on the rise, I just started watching it a couple of months ago and think it is one of the better soaps out there. I love the storylines on that show and the acting is wonderful. I am surprised it isn’t doing better because it really is a good soap.

I am suprised Days Of Our Lives is doing so well, the summer storylines were horrible and some of those new actors were terrible. I think their biggest mistake was getting rid of the veteran actors that could act and replacing them with ones without talent to save money. I stopped watching Days Of Our Lives and switched over to Y&R and am glad I did. I hope Days Of Our Lives improves because I really did like that soap.

  20. RJ says:

Glad to see General Hospital is going up…It is my favorite soap, and it has been getting really really good!
Also, while im glad ATWT is getting some boosts, i love OLTL…hate to see it at the bottom.
I think AMC, OTLT and ATWT better get some major storylines going, if they want to avoid the inevitable bottom slot cancelation.

  21. Arroyo says:

Days of our Lives is quickly becoming the NEW #2 soap in America… And by the looks of both Monday and Tuesday’s episode, surely Days will FINALLY over take B&B, now they just have to stay there. With the return of Vivian, I;m sure they will!! Great writting DAYS, keep up the good work!

  22. michael says:

i hope atwt have a good wee this week im scared to look at the numbers cause oltl should be up this week because they brought mitch back but i hope atwt is not at the bottom this week this show getting better each week

  23. ohiogirl says:

Ah, yes! What satisfaction in seeing a good storyline played out. Days deserves the ratings hike. Applause to the characters of Samantha, EJ, Nicole, Raffe and Mia for keeping us on the edge of our seats. Also to ‘Dr.Baker’, who added some mischievous humor coupled with understated sarcasm in a great portrayal…hope he hasn’t really bitten the dust, and is just off on some tropical isle gambling all the cash he out-manipulated and out blackmailed Nicole into getting…hope he makes a comeback.

  24. gmann says:

Days of our Lives is Totally OUTSTANDING this year!!!! Nicole and EJ most certainly deserve Emmys….Love this Iconic show…I dvr it and have tuned in every night this yeat…LOVE IT!!! The writing is the best it has ever been and the Days’ writers most definitely should be lauded with an emmy for their outstanding talent. Way to go!!! Keep up the Awesome Job! It’s great too to see Vivien back and better than ever…
