NBC's The Office

Pretty normal stuff, with several shows going up 1/10th of an adults 18-49 ratings point.  “The Office,”  however, rose 2/10ths as did “Grey’s Anatomy.”

“The Vampire Diaries” went down 1/10th.

  1. Julia says:

And 30 Rock is still yet to sink below 3.0.

  2. steven says:

Private Practice at its best figure since premiere! Yay! Glad to see ABC Thursday doing well!

  3. Greg says:

does anyone have half hour or quarter hour results for CSI or the mentalist?

  4. j says:

The 8 o’clock hour is weak. Only Survivor and VD aren’t meh.
Lol that CSI got over a 100% advantage over Office in viewers and still lost in 18-49. I thought the crossover would help more actually. It’s pretty much on par with this week’s Survivor/Practice.
I like how 30 Rock just makes it to 3 every week.
I guess Flash Forward has found its level, and any more it goes down will probably go to help Bones.

  5. nsfan says:

Way to go CSI. Highest numbers of the season?

  6. Adelle says:

Supernatural hold up very well in the finals. Is this a season high among adults 18-34?

  7. the128boy says:

Congrats to The Office for actually improving from its year ago numbers… and a kudos to Grey’s for actually being close…

    5.6 down from 5.7 (-1.8%) Grey’s Anatomy
    4.2 UP from 4.1 (+2.4%) The Office
    4.1 down from 5.1 (-19.6%) CSI

I’m guessing CSI will be back to negative 30-ish percent again next week after the crossover effect is gone.

Congrats also to Parks And Recreation for matching (the new up) Kath & Kim’s year-ago performance in this slot (both a 2.1) despite a much smaller lead-in (Community’s 2.1 vs. My Name Is Earl’s 2.8).

  8. Bill Gorman says:

Adelle, here is the final PR blurb from the CW

The CW’s SUPERNATURAL matched its best adults 18-34 (1.5/4) performance of the season, and scored its second best ratings this season in adults 18-49 (1.3/3).

  9. chrisjozo says:

I’m glad to see Supernatural didn’t go down in the finals. I guess the San Francisco market doesn’t make that much of a dent.

  10. Geoffrey says:

Hey–How come no mention of Grey’s Anatomy ticking up from an initial fast national rating of 5.4 to a final national rating of a 5.6??? It was already up 6% over last week and now that final rating even raised it higher. Not bad for a show in its sixth season and with such a tumultuous history. Last night’s episode was awesome in what is indeed turning out to be a stellar season so far.

  11. Geoffrey, mere oversight.

chrisjozo: I’m sure I’m not the only person in the SF market who watches Supernatural; but it looks like those others like me, aren’t Nielsen families.

On the other hand, it could be that lack of SF market kept SN from hitting season highs!

  12. Melissa says:

ABC and CBS have to be thrilled with their Thursday night numbers. Well ABC can’t be to happy with Flash Forward, but so far it’s not hurting them too bad.

  13. johnthemon says:

Office was so good last night. Best episode since the post-superbowl ep.

  14. chrisjozo says:

    Robert,

That may be the case but wouldn’t that be weird to have an entire city without Nielsen viewers.

Hopefully next week it will hit a season high but as long as it doesn’t hit any new season lows I’m pretty satisfied.

  15. Sara N. says:

I’m kind of surprised Supernatural did so well last night, seeing as the episode was largely one big in-joke about the more, er, enthusiastic fringe component of the online fandom – convention hijinks (references to Jared and Jensen being physically assaulted by attendees), Wincest fangirls, and shoutouts to the TWoP recappers who actually loathe the show. Still, there was a nicely creepy subplot in there, and the meta commentary worked on several levels, so I suppose it still had some broad appeal.

  16. Ashley says:

    Way to Go Bones!!

  17. Cody says:

I think Greys needs to move to 8 and ff to 10

  18. forg says:

    Aww FlashForward didn’t climb :(

Glad to see 30 Rock in the 3.0 zone

  19. steve says:

To rob or bill is this CSIs highest ever rating since petterson left. Seems like crossover worked

  20. steve, in 18-49 ratings, no. In viewers, not sure (because I’m not sure of the Petersen timing) per CBS it was CSI’s best delivery in viewers since March 5, 2009

  21. Paul PT says:

after the WB dead i stop watch CSI, to many cast departs.

to me the cast was the major factor, and only after the cases.

  22. aurora says:

y wood they move greys? thursday 9pm, it dominates, y mess with success? ff should move after Lost at 10pm, but its too late for that, they shood have waited to premiere it til after lost.

  23. Mark says:

I wish P&R would go up more!

  24. Tony says:

Grey’s Anatomy will never be moved. Neither will Private Practice. Grey’s would be the only ABC show that could beat CSI. ABC would not mess with the Thursday night 9pm-10pm. They might mess with the 8pm hour though

  25. The Rocker says:

Please renew Supernatural. Just once more for the Rocker (I know I said that the last 3 years but it worked then so…is this superstitious behavior?).

  26. Patrick says:

The Mentalist is simply the best show on television. With a great writing team and Simon Baker leading the pack, they deserve the great ratings they are getting.
