November 16, 2009 (Burbank, CA) – The CW’s SMALLVILLE climbed even higher this week, scoring its largest audience (2.7mil) of the season, according to Live Plus Same Day Nielsen ratings for Fri., Nov. 13, 2009. SMALLVILLE matched its season highs in adults 18-34 (1.2/5) and adults 18-49 (1.2/4).
SMALLVILLE ranked #1 in its time period among men 18-34 (1.4/6) and males 12-34 (1.2/5), and finished second in adults 18-34 (1.2/5), persons 12-34 (1.1/4) and men 18-49 (1.3/5-tie).

With only Welling and Mack remaining from season one
this show has been successfully retooled. In my opinion,
if Welling wants to continue, should to be renewed for several
more seasons. GO SMALLVILLE!

Maybe I need to get my eyes checked. But my goodness is this press release real? No demo for the women included anywhere?!? Imagine that a CW press release with no mention of women anywhere. Dawn must of flipped her lid when she read it cause I thought the CW was trying to be turned into the new Lifetime.

Charlene, dont underestimate smallville trust me i learned that lesson when they renewed it for a season 8 because i thought they were gonna cancell it with the writers strike and all. And just curious wat shows of yours arent doing good?
SMALLVILLE IS THE BEST I JUST HOPE THAT TOM WELLING WILL STAY ON FOR MORE THEN 10 SEASONS IT WOULD BREAK RECORDS IF IT DID THAT. Smallville has already beat by seasons That 70’s Show and Full house and many others.
Im glad that the CW picked up a show like Life Unexpected i hope it does well, they need some more shows like that! It reminds me of The WB network the way they use to be and the shows were so much better! like Supernatural and Smallville instead of the shows now that r all for little girls!
Well i do like The Vampire Diaries i just don’t like The CW shows that are on Monday – Wednesday
Out of the CW i only like Smallville, Supernatural, and The Vampire Diaries those 3 are the only shows that is keeping the cw alive. Now if I were the cw i would work on getting shows like a spin off of smallville, or more seasons of these 3 shows and not get rid of it. I really think that Smallville has a better chance then supernatural in getting renewed but if Supernatural get’s cancelled that will weaken the cw big time. Only Clark kent and the Salvatore brothers would be there to save it. WE NEED THE WINCHESTER BROTHERS!!WE NEED SUPERNATURAL!

You are right:(Smallville) they need a spin off of Smallville and could put it on next year and let it air on Friday at 9 right after Smallville and with it being in it’s 10th season after Smallville ends then the spin off could take over and be their new hero show!!
Well i did say i just watched 3 CW shows but i forgot about Melrose Place so i watch 4 CW shows:
1.Vampire
2.Supernatural
3.Smallville
4.Melrose Place (but it might get cancelled)

An Press Release,come on now.make things so sad is the fans are acting like these rating/demo have hit a all time high as in 7-9 millions on the network,when in fact it haven’t even reach 3million or the demo that Dawn are so craving for(young women) trying to make SV look like season9 is a hit is the most pathetic/sadest thing i have ever came across.if u truely want the rating/demo that smalliville once had,try killing the crappy lightswitching(clois) and focus more on clark becoming Superman and maybe u will have something to boast about to the press,other than that stop dreaming.
for idea’s of a spin off show i think the closest one would be Green Arrow (like a story that continues him after smallville) or maybe like a Justice League member (such as wonder woman, flash, green lantern, etc.) I wish they hadnt cancelled that aquaman pilot.
I think it would be better for like an green arrow story.
Yeah what they need to do is let Green Arrow have a spin off episode this year on Smallville and when season 10 starts let the new show Green Arrow start it’s 1st season and have it come on right after Smallville.
