TV Ratings Sunday: Football Wins For NBC; Housewives, Three Rivers, Cold Case All Up

Posted on 16 November 2009 by Bill Gorman

Patriots Colts Football
Due to the nature of live sports programming the ratings for NBC (Sunday Night Football) and Fox (NFL Overrun) (and possibly a CBS NFL overrun in some markets) are approximate and subject to significant revisions in the final numbers. See below for more information on these Fast Affiliate Ratings.

NBC didn’t need to go for it on 4th down, as the Patriots/Colts Sunday Night Football matchup easily got them the nightly ratings win. Boosted by a football overrun, Fox was a strong second place.

In preliminary numbers, NBC’s Sunday Night Football Game 10: Patriots vs. Colts delivered a 7.5 adults 18-49 rating /18 share from 830-11p, down slightly from Game 8 (Cowboys vs. Eagles) last Sunday, which posted a 7.6 rating /19 share in the Fast Nationals before rising to an 8.5/22 from 8:31-11:50p in the Finals. The Cowboys are a lot easier to beat on the football field than they are in the TV ratings.

Fox can thank the early NFL overrun for its great average from last night. Otherwise, its results were in line with recent results. The Simpsons were up 2% to a 4.2 adults 18-49 rating. The Cleveland Show was up 0.1 ratings point from its off-timed episode last Sunday to a 3.3 rating. Family Guy was flat with last week’s 4.1 rating, but that’s well below its season average of a 4.6 rating. American Dad was down 6% from its last regular timeslot telecast on October 18 to a 2.9 rating.

ABC’s lineup rebounded strongly from last Sunday’s lows, with every show up double digits. America’s Funniest Home Videos increased 20%+ to a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition was up 20% to a 3.6 rating which is a season high. Desperate Housewives was up 11% to a 49 rating. And Brothers & Sisters was up 10% to a 3.2 rating. ABC drew its biggest non-sports audience on the night (excluding the Oscars) in nearly 1 year and its best Adult 18-49 number in 6 months – since 11/30/08 and 5/17/09, respectively.

CBS’ weak late Sunday night bounced up as well, from pitiful to simply weak as Three Rivers was up to a series high 11% to a 2.0 2.1 rating, and Cold Case was up 24% to a 2.1 rating. Big increases, but still weak ratings. The Amazing Race was down 9% to a 3.2 rating, and without a football overrun, 60 Minutes fell way back to earth to a typically weak 2.2 rating.

Update: There are reports that some markets had a CBS football overrun. If so, the CBS numbers are liable to change more than usual in the final numbers.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs which are currently in approximately 24.4% of all U.S. TV households. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

For more information see Numbers 101 and Numbers 102.

  • In metered-market households, football ruled the night, with NBC’s 8-11 p.m. average 12.8/21 in the metered markets establishing a 19% margin of victory over CBS’s second-place 10.8/17.

    1. steven says:

Yay for DH and B&S! Both are up! Best figures since premiere?

    2. johnthemon says:

nice to see the days of cleveland>simpsons are over, but sad to see FG in the low 4’s. :( Also, American Dad below a 3 is pretty bad, even though it is already getting a sixth season.

    3. Luke says:

How can there be less people watch the end of last night’s game than the beginning? That was one of the best ending to a game ever and I thought the ratings would go through the roof.

    4. Chuck C says:

Any word on how “The Prisoner” did for AMC? I watched & thought it was very well done.

    5. Sausageroll says:

Wow, the Simpsons beat Family Guy, it did have a little help from what came before but nonetheless, very impressive.
Also, American Dad – the best animated comedy of the whole line up – below a 3.0, sad D:

    6. ted says:

      Hey Pisher,

I know you post here and i don’t have an account at pifeedback.

Just saw your comment on how worrisome DH’s ratings are vs last year.

Uh everything is down vs. last year – DVR increased. In year 6 DH is #3 this week behind GA, and HOUSE. I don’t get you comment at all. Shows go down in the ratings as they get older, every show is down, the fact that it is still a top 3 show in year 6, how you can spin that is negative is fascinating to me. Every single network would want DH.

    7. johnthemon says:

@Chuck C, those are cable numbers, this is broadcast. You’ll probably see them later today.

    8. VYuci says:

Apparently people didn’t have faith in Peyton Manning staging a comeback from 17 down =P

If I remember correctly, the game ended somewhere near midnight on the east coast. It could be that it got too late for some people.

    9. nick says:

About time Simpsons starts to regain itself as the best, kinda ashamed for American Dads ratings, they should be better. Cleveland should be even lower and Family Guy should at least beat the other two MacFarlene shows.
      Go Simpsons!

    10. Terry says:

cbs shows last nite here(central time) were 35 mins late …..??

    11. Julie says:

Yay for Desperate Housewives! I think that is a tie in the demos but overall viewership is a season high. I hope the plane crash pulls in 16 million viewers. Housewives deserves it-it is still great TV!!!!!

    12. kenny says:

Yay Housewives!!!!, FOX’s comedies improved compare to last sunday if i’m not wrong, the simpsons help a lot, and I never thought Family Guy would fall, when I saw the season beginning’s numbers

    13. Michael says:

I’m surprised Three Rivers got a 2.0 average- I wonder if it will fall in finals.

    14. johnthemon says:

      @kenny
Simpsons beat Family Guy’s 8:00 ep, this weeks cleveland was below the comedy special, family guy’s 9:00 ep was up and American Dad did worse than the 9:30 Cleveland last week.

    15. The_GodfatherSJP says:

How’d the Colts/Pats game compare to the last time the Cowboys played a game on NBC? Was it better rated?

    16. Jon K. says:

Just as an fyi fox in Cleveland is showing the Monday night game tonight.

    17. Jon says:

Three Rivers despite up from last week is still doing appalling and I think CBS are just not going to extend it beyond 13 episodes and replace it in January.

The Animation Domination seemed down but I am thinkng that is due to the football.

    18. Chuck Tranberg says:

The Cleveland Show the two times I’ve watched it is pretty boring to me.

    19. Julia says:

Reaaly, Jon K? I thought ABC always gets it in every market.

    20. Jeff says:

      Yes! Simpsons are up!

    21. Jeff says:

Also I do like to add that I wish American Dad was up I like the show

    22. johnthemon says:

oddly enough, Family Guy did the same numbers as the office this week, and American Dad did the same numbers as 30 rock. (I know the numbers changed in the finals, but in the prelims they were the same)

    23. Bill Gorman says:

Note that we don’t yet have *any* numbers for the football game after 11pm Eastern.

    24. Bill Gorman says:

Godfather, preliminary prime time comparison vs. Cowboys game now in the post.

    25. Wendy says:

Honestly…the Simpsons is simply amazing. 20 years and they’re pulling in a 4.2 demo that newly launched shows rarely see beyond their premiere. Kudos to team Simpson…I was watching early season reruns with friends this weekend and we were dying laughing.

    26. Dan says:

Could Three Rivers run all 13 eps? Never thought it was possible but maybe.

    27. Terry says:

i think three rivers spike might be the guest star last nite who used to be on criminal minds?? The promo made it look like a good episode…??

    28. Christian says:

American Dad, as always, was the most hilarious show on Fox’s lineup last night.

    29. Jon says:

How many episodes has Three Rivers had? I think it’s around 7 or 8 and next week both shows go on hiatus for a week for CBS’ annual Hallmark Movie.

When does CBS announce its midseason slate.

    30. Dan says:

Wendy – Its good for FOX that they developed other animated series to compliment The SImpsons and now are airing them on one night.

    31. Bill Gorman says:

Just added to the post: ABC drew its biggest non-sports audience on the night (excluding the Oscars) in nearly 1 year and its best Adult 18-49 number in 6 months – since 11/30/08 and 5/17/09, respectively. AFHV hit a season high for adults 18-49.

    32. The_GodfatherSJP says:

      Thanks guys.

I almost wrote “How bout them Cowboys,” then I remembered how much I hate this team.

Just goes to show you that Texas isn’t just a state, it’s also a State of Mind.

Seriously though, how awesome would it be if the Cowboys faced the Texans in the Superbowl and the Texans beat them? The entire state would want to excise the city of Houston. It would be worse than the Mets beating the Yankees in the World Series, because Yankees fans don’t outnumber Mets fans 5:1 (like Cowboys fans outnumber Texans fans).

    33. Sam says:

A season high in viewers for DH.

    34. Three Rivers averaged only a 2.0 for the whole hour. Still a series high though :-)

    35. Dan says:

Jon – CBS should announce it around this time. Though like Trauma, Dollhouse, Brothers, and Eastwick, Three Rivers will likely just cap at 13 eps. It will possibly be replaced by Flashpoint or Miami Trauma by Jan. Im surprised it lasted this long.

    36. Bill Gorman says:

Three Rivers rating corrected. I used some bad early averaging.

    37. ron says:

“American Dad was down 6% from its last telecast on October 18 to a 2.9 rating.”

American Dad aired a new episode last week (at a special 7:30pm EST time).

    38. Bill Gorman says:

Sorry, I left out “regular timeslot” in the American Dad blurb. Editing it in.

    39. Danny S says:

Great football game last night, especially that fourth quarter! With Peyton Manning, you’re never out of the game. Biggest comeback in Monday Night Football against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with four minutes left. The biggest comeback in an AFC Chapionship game against the New England Patriots. And now, a great fourth quarter comeback against the New England Patriots, sending “DARTH HOODIE” and “GQ BOY,” whimpering back to New England crying for “MOMMIE!”

Great game COLTS! 18 straight wins!

    40. Bill Gorman says:

Multiple reports of some CBS markets having an NFL overrun last night. In that case, their numbers are subject to more than typical revisions as well.

    41. Sparky says:

First time I watched Three Rivers last night and Mandy Patinkin (spelt wrong I think) was very good. The rest of the cast were so-so…

    42. Michael says:

So Three Rivers probably didn’t do as well as it did in the Fast Nationals. Why doesn’t that surprise me?

    43. The Other Tony says:

Good showing for DH. The reports of it’s demise have been greatly exagerated. I bet NBC wishes it could give football a full season pick up. haha

BTW. I know this is about ratings but does anyone enjoy watching The Cleveland Show? I find it incredibly bad. I’m a fan of Family Guy and even more so of American Dad which I often find funnier than FG. The Cleveland Show is bad in so many ways. I’m still amazed they did a spin off of the worst character from Family Guy.

    44. gmyers says:

The Power of Patinkin Persuades You!!!!!

    45. Prup (aka Jim Benton) says:

The ‘gimmick’ for THREE RIVERS was that Mandy Patinkin actually HAD a transplant. Still didn’t tempt me to watch that dreck, though.

    46. Anthony says:

I don’t catch up with network TV until “Dexter” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm” are done. It gives me something to watch during repeat season.

    47. milhouse says:

      simpsons for life!!..very good ratings:)

    48. tom says:

This is in Response to the Ted Comment. Not every show is down this year. NCIS is getting their highest ratings in its 6th season. DH is also in its 6th season and this is their lowest rated season yet. Also, House’s ratings are up by 26% compared to last year. and lets not forget the big story of the season which is the huge ratings increase for The Big Bang theory.

Now, back to the ratings decline of DH. DH has fallen out of the Top 10 for a good reason, the show just isnt as good anymore. the writing is way off and is Mediocre this season. there are way too many stories going on and some of the plotlines and dialogue is just plain silly. I still watch it but they better up their game in the next couple of weeks or I will just watch something else. just too many choices on tv today to have to settle for mediocrity!

    49. DenverDean says:

I believe there was only one late game on CBS (KC @ Oak). It seems that the SF market wouldn’t be impacted since it’s WC, but I could be wrong. Not sure what the coverage was for that game, but I suspect limited to those teams’ territories. Regardless, it seems that CBS has just decided to punt Sunday evenings this fall. It’s too bad.

    50. Bill Gorman says:

DenverDean, and the game was blacked out in San Francisco, so that likely means only the KC markets saw an overrun.

    51. crystalabell says:

It looks like Three Rivers will make it to January and who knows what will happen then. The storylines are getting better and more people are tuning in on Sunday. They need to focus more on the personal relationships to create drama.

    52. ShannyBoy says:

Haha! All those people that tuned out over the course of the Pats/Colts game missed one of the most extraordinary finishes of the season, if not the last decade!

    53. Shaz says:

Creatively, Three Rivers was the best episode yet. Nothing glaringly bad screamed out at me except for its usual predictability, e.g. the patients who need transplants always get transplants and the transplant operations are always successful.

Mandy Patinkin was good. I’m guessing that the ratings bump had to do with him. It’s too bad there’s no new episode next week. Anyone persuaded to start watching after this episode, will probably forget about the show when they don’t see it next week. So in two weeks, I expect the ratings will go back to previous levels.

    54. ted says:

      tom,

year 6 – #3 show in the demo this week after GA, and HOUSE. I don’t know how you cna spin that as negative. It will be a 5.0 in the finals if it follows the normal pattern of going up in 10th. Outside of TBBT no CBS show this season gets a 5.0 Oustide of HOUSE no FOX show gets a 5. No NBC show gets a 5.

NCIS bucks every trend of normal ratings patterns – that is the exception, not the rule.

You are entitled to your opinion, however I think you are in the minority on the quality of DN this season. It’s a moot point because any net would love to put on a show with those #’s opposite a hige Football game

    55. cheers says:

May have been the dumbest move ever by a coach. If the pats miss the playoffs by one game(doubtful) blame the coach. Total arrogance.

    56. ted says:

yeah DH looks really bad – not:

    57. DuMont says:

With an excellent episode starring Mr. Mandy Patinkin, ‘Three Rivers’ moves above the 2.0 A18-49 threshold in the second toughest timeslot of the week (second only to Thursday 9-10 pm). Hopefully this series high gives CBS pause for reflection as they ponder their mid-season choices.

    58. DuMont says:

After 18 nights of the November Sweep, FOX holds a wide lead in A18-49, while CBS is most watched by P2+ viewers:

    59. LisaS says:

I look for CBS to air all 13 episodes of Three Rivers and not order those additional back nine episodes. Which in my opinion us CBS doing the same thing for Three Rivers that FOX is doing for Dollhouse. My thinking is in January they will replace Three Rivers with either episodes of Flashpoint or Jerry Bruckheimer’s Miami Trauma.

    60. Tommy says:

DuMont, yes Three Rivers had some of it’s best ratings last night. But even with it’s best ratings, the ratings are still horrible. I wouldn’t be surprised if the show gets canceled any day now. They could also let the 13 episode order air out, and then let the show fade out without ever announcing anything.

    61. Marie says:

I live in Michigan so we got the late game here as well, not sure where the game was being shown but TR’s numbers are probably exaggerated by that? So what’s the overall thinking? Just the 13 eps or will CBS add more?

    62. Marie says:

Shaz, I think there is still an ep of TR on 11/22 but not on 11/29. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

    63. Shaz says:

Is there a deadline by which CBS would need to order the back nine if it intends for Three Rivers to continue? I think 3R filming the 10th or 11th episode now.

    64. Shaz says:

Marie, someone posted upthread that the Hallmark movie is next week. I just checked TV Guide listings and you’re right – there’s a new episode next week. So next Sunday we’ll see if the Mandy Patinkin ratings bump has any lasting effect.

    65. Dan says:

Marie – Theres eps scheduled for Nov 22, Dec 6 and Dec 13. That gives 10 eps to be broadcast. The other 3 could turn up on Jan 2, 10, and 17 should the series last until then. I guess it proves wrong everyone who didnt think the series would air all eps, even me.

Shaz – I dont think theres a definite deadline but it would be around now to late Nov that CBS would announce the series fate. Though the series is more likely to be axed, they dont necessarily need to announce it. They could just air all 13 eps.

    66. Shaz says:

Dan, I don’t think CBS will announce a cancelation; they’ll just let it fade after 10 or 13 eps. I was just wondering if there’s a date where you could say, for example, “Ah, it’s Dec 1 and CBS hasn’t ordered a back nine, so 13 episodes is definitely all that will be filmed.”

    67. Shaz, there will be a date (and it will be soon) when CBS will announce its mid-season schedule. If/when Three Rivers isn’t on it, that might be the only official confirmation.

    68. Brandon says:

We got a NFL overrun on CBS in Charlotte. My mom and dad wanted to watch 60 minutes during dinner but we all we got was the Oakland Raiders game somehow…Had to watch Bride Wars instead.

    69. Jared says:

“The Cowboys are a lot easier to beat on the football field than they are in the TV ratings.”

      Got that right! Go Pack!

O and the Colts-Pats game was awesome. You don’t even make that call in Madden…

romo, thanks for the list. Lots more markets in the East than I would have anticipated.

    73. DenverDean says:

That is crazy with all the KC/Oak markets! I totally forgot the NFL rule that doesn’t allow a game to air opposite home team, if it’s not a doubleheader week for network. (For example in Denver, we got both Fox games because Broncos were on road.) Since CBS had one game — all those NFC got stuck with this dog in their window. Next week, a ton of big markets will get Rams/Cardinals on FOX since CBS has DH. Yikes!

    74. Dana says:

LOL. You all said TR was going to be gone by now , and this week even got more viewers and a 2.0 demo.
Soon , CBS will pick up the Back 9 , and after that a second season.
TR is the new ER for CBS .
TR is the most compelling new TV drama this year.
Just wait for The Emmy Awards

    75. Shaz says:

      I want what Dana’s smoking. :D

    76. silvy says:

This article about networks talking about midseason lineups has this line “…and the network has no plans to yank Three Rivers, according to [Kelly] Kahl.” This is encouraging for TR lovers

      http://www.broadcastingcable.com/article/389062-The_Networks_Take_Out_the_Trash.php

    77. Dana says:

      Read that Shaz?
      Who is smoking now?
Three Rivers will have a second season because CBS and K. Kahl care about the show , Alex fans and the organ Donation cause.

    78. Bill Gorman says:

Dana, either you’re trolling or are seriously deluded about Three Rivers.

    79. Shaz says:

Dana, saw that Broadcasting & Cable article and in fact, I posted that link here last week. All the article says is that CBS is not going to pull the 13 episodes already ordered for Three Rivers. It says nothing about letting the show go beyond 13 episodes.

If CBS has already decided to order the back nine, why haven’t they announced it when EVERY OTHER SCRIPTED CBS SHOW that debuted this fall already has full-season pickups? Even with the ratings bump this week, the only shows that got lower ratings than Three Rivers is 60 Minutes and America’s Funniest Home Videos.

At best, CBS hasn’t made a decision yet on Three Rivers’ future. Claiming that CBS has already decided to give the show a second season (not to mention the show getting an Emmy Award) is delusional.

    80. starmud says:

housewives was great last night… the show is really back on track this season.

    81. ern says:

20+ million watched my Colts beat the Pats

    82. Rob D. says:

I like the whole animation block. American Dad will be fine if stays around a 3. The Cleveland Show has improved in quality the last 2 weeks. If you missed Cleveland’s rap song last week- youtube it. It’s amazingly clever and the best Macfarlane song yet.

    83. Mark says:

Yay Housewives! I’m hoping the plane crash episode pulls 16 million viewers!

    84. anonymous says:

“Three Rivers will have a second season because CBS and K. Kahl care about the show ”

I really don’t want to bust your chops, but what networks and its representatives say is in the 99% of cases PR stunts.

They will always have something nice to SAY about their shows, even if they yank them the next day.

    85. Jared says:

Robert, ya I know. But there are “lies, damn lies, and statistics”

    86. R.G says:

Patriots game = millions of viewers.

CBS to swap ‘Three Rivers,’ ‘Cold Case’

CBS is going to re-arrange Sunday night next week.

      http://www.thrfeed.com/2009/11/cbs-to-s … case-.html

    88. Marie says:

Here’s what the link says from THR, somehow it didn’t post correctly…Sorry:

“CBS is going to re-arrange Sunday night next week.

As a little experiment, the network is going to swap 9 p.m.’s “Three Rivers” and 10 p.m.’s “Cold Case” to see if either show is improved by the change.
The one-time scheduling switch comes as rumors circulate that CBS is contemplating an additional script order for “Three Rivers” (two) and possibly even ordering additional episodes (five). The network may be waiting for nationals to come in tomorrow for Sunday’s episode (which hit a season high in the preliminary ratings) before making a decision.

As noted in that ratings post, “Rivers” tends to get blamed for the performance of “Case,” which rose last year when it had a better lead-in from “Without a Trace.” CBS probably figures they’ll give “Case” the stronger “Amazing Race” lead in and push “Rivers” to where there’s less competition at 10 p.m. and see what happens. Worth a shot.”

    89. Emerald says:

Dana – I don’t mean to rain on your parade, but what Kelly Kahl said in regards to Three Rivers was not anywhere near an official confirmation that a second season was inevitable. Or even that a back 9 would be ordered. Ms Kahl might very well been referring to CBS airing all 13 episodes, and not having plans to pull the show off the air until then.

It sounds as if you really love Three Rivers, you’re certainly giving it some high praise. Nothing wrong with that, nothing wrong at all. We all like what we like. I watch the show myself. I enjoy it. But let’s get some perspective here. Mandy Patinkin might have a shot at an Emmy for the performance he put in last night, but Three Rivers itself? Not a hope in hell. I’m sorry, Three Rivers is just nowhere near emmy award standard. It’s not even in the same ballpark. Heck it’s not even the same game.

I do want Three Rivers to succeed, and I’m assuming you do too. Personally I don’t believe that hiding one’s head in the sand, and going ‘OMG, BEST SHOW EVAH!!!!11111′ (Hyperbole ;) ) is conducive to this end. At the end of the day it comes down to ratings, and Three Rivers needs to improve in order to attract more viewers. How can anyone expect this improvement to take place if noone is willing to step up and say, ‘This is what is wrong with the show, this is what needs to be fixed’.

Just my opinion of course, take care. I shall continue to keep my fingers crossed for Three Rivers future success. :)

Feel free to join us, we don’t ask much. Just your left kidney, blind unwavering devotion to Alex, and first born child. Money for skywriting and giant billboards gratefully accepted. *grin*

I’m just kidding, obviously. This is actually a legitimate fan based campaign.

      From the mission statement…

We are here to assist the Transplant Community in every way possible:

By educating the public as to the importance of organ donation.
By assisting the public to register as organ donors.

      Kelly Kahl is a man.

Doh! whoopsa daisy. *LOL* I don’t actually live in America (is Australian) so I wouldn’t know. Then again I suppose I could have done the sensible thing and looked it up before arbitarily assigning a gender.

Thanks for letting me know. You learn something new everyday ;)

    93. TRDLAFan says:

CBS has been promoting and advertising Three Rivers. There will absolutely be a new episode Sunday, Nov. 22. I hope people know about the important life saving message Three Rivers sends out, because CBS has partnered with Donate Life America. This speaks volume.

    94. vsaint says:

wow, who the hell is in charge of CBS.
I mean if it was a good show with potential, or on NBC, i’d say keep it on. But your CBS with limted slots available for improvement. A series high of 2.0 isn’t getting it done.

    95. bob terns says:

Three Rivers = 13 weeks (and that is it.)

I always thought “American Dad” was the weakest of the FOX cartoon block. Just my opinion…

Anyone think 60 minutes will be pulled soon? I remember when it used to be the top rated show of the whole season.

Finally, hows about a slice of Boston cream pie (off of Bill’s nose)?

    96. Kelvin says:

Yes Tom DH premired pretty low and I can abtribute that to the low quality of the last season they premired at #16 but has since then been growing with viewers on are ranked #10 so saying they are no longer in the top 10 is not factual. DH is great and keeps getting better this season I think they realized they needed to step their game up when ratings fell last season. DH is really back this season.

    97. Kerry says:

Three Rivers sucks. The acting is horrible. There’s too much drama. There is no storyline. It will be yanked so fast it will make your head spin. Monkeys fly out of my butt! :)

    98. RealisticExpectations says:

At this time, Hibberd is saying that adjusted ratings are showing 3 River’s ratings at it’s “normal” 1.8 rating for the night.

      So much for “season highs”.

    99. diva says:

Better check your facts on Three Rivers …final numbers are in and it only did the usual 1.8…no increase…Cbs…end the misery of the TR actors and end the show…it reeks

    100. Kim says:

      So, just 1.8 .
This explains now the move of Three Rivers to 10 pm.
Well, I guess the campaign going on for CBS to pick up more episodes needs more work now.
Well those Alex fangirls maybe a small group but they do a lot of noise.Maybe CBS will give them their wish.
And what about Cold Case? Which demo Cold Case got at the end?

    101. Julia says:

Kim, Cold Case was at 2.1, which is the highest it has been since the second episode this season.

    102. LisaS says:

I’m not shocked by Three Rivers 1.8 rating.

    103. Kim says:

      Thanks Julia.
I do love Cold Case , and I hope the show to do better next week.
I could not believe Cold Case’s numbers were worse than Three Rivers.
So Cold Case was the winner last Sunday , not Three Rivers.
Poor Cold case , the show even is able to get some numbers back after that terrible Three Rivers scares all viewers away.
