El Paco Anyone that makes major political decisions (like who to vote for) based on the endorsement of an entertainer is in my opinion a worthless twit who shouldn’t be allowed to vote. Be it Rush, Oprah, Hannity, etc., they’re all entertainers who have found an audience and will say whatever they think will keep their ratings up with their audience to keep the money flowing in. I love Dylan and Springsteen, but I have my own mind, am able to reason and don’t need them to help me make up my mind on politics or anything else for that matter. I go to movies, buy CD’s, etc. for entertainment and enjoyment. I could care less what their political recommendations are. And the news pundits on both sides are nothing but a bunch of self serving gas bags.

Oprah is a genial person who made good money from her middle of the road values, but she lost her cred and my respect when she revealed herself to be racist by casting all that aside for going tribal on us all. The nice fat lady no longer seems so nice when you suspect she would sell you out because she has more melanin than you. That’s pretty much what’s going on with her falling ratings.

Oh, I’m one of those stupid people that linked from DRUDGE. I love the Drudge site because it has links to every newspaper and organization on earth. I read Al-Jazeera there too… Drudge simply links to different news stories. He doesn’t pick just rightwing sites. Is this a right wing site? You probably got more traffic in one day due to Drudge than you have had however long you’ve been here. Ya’ll keep knocking Drudge and Rush and FOX but they are just kicking ass in the ratings. I guess there must be more of us hicks in America than you highly educated sensible liberals. (snicker)

While I don’t agree with Oprahs politics I do admire her greatly. What she has accomplished in life is impressive considering her background and early life. She sure wasn’t born with a silver spoon in her mouth. She worked hard and she worked honest jobs and improved herself. She is one smart lady. She is a successful publisher, TV personality, actress and is sitting on a 2.7 billion empire. She has achieved the American dream by her own efforts and that is admirable. I don’t watch Oprah or read her mag….I’m a gun kind of guy. Her performance in ‘The Color Purple’ was spot on. I disagree with her politically but that is no reason to condemn the woman for her beliefs. She’s one smart lady and I would love to talk to her for a day and pick her brain. U see the evil in Obama. I saw the evil in Clinton. I don’t detect evil in Oprah but hey, I’ve been wrong before.

Not a fan of Oprah, but good for her…money, success, influence……but when she and other tree huggers vote in, support and recommend a socialist administration, I draw the line. Now they want US to cut back on our lives…
….how about this instead……NOBODY…including the Hollywood creeps needs a home larger then ?5,000sq ft., don’t need more then 2 houses per family, and 2 cars per family member, no private planes (fly commercial), and one limited sized boat/yacht per family..we can deal with their excessive jewelry,furs….etc later. Once the idiots who support this socialist administration cut back, I will do likewise…..I can hardly wait for Kerry, Kennedy, Gore, Clinton, Pelosi, Oprah, Letterman, Hanks, etc, etc…moving into their new digs…..sale of their existing belongings should fund lots of health care….no need for tax hikes.

I have not ever watched Oprah’s show. She seemed to be a positive influence on many people though. We all have our own minds and think for ourselves. I find it funny how people are still getting mad about Oprah endorsing Obama. Yeah, so terrible. Obama hasn’t even been in office long enough for us to even see if he’s “ruining this country” like all you people from Drudge say. Economics and politics doesn’t work that quickly. It takes time. In another one or two years if things dont start to get better, then complain all you want. I would be right there complaining next to you.

But if Oprah voiced her support for Palin, you guys know that you’d love Oprah after that and you’d claim that she’s one of the smartest women on earth. But instead you hate because of her political affiliations. Sad.
