  1. JNewt says:

People still watch the broadcasters late night shows?

  2. Michael says:

    So Letterman did win, slightly.

  3. Worldwide Pants says:

I’m bummed that Fallon beat Fergie in the demos. Fallon is the TV equivalent of a root canal.

  4. smgpugfaw says:

How narrow is the demo going to get before NBC is forced to admit Conan just isn’t beating Letterman?

“The Tonight show beat all other programming in adults aged 19, women aged 22 and men aged 18-22 who prefer cheddar over gouda”

  5. Kenny says:

    Conan O’Brien and Jay Leno?

What happened to the Tonight Show? So, is this the foreseeable future of the Tonight Show? NBC fire Leno for Conan? Why fix what wasn’t broken?

Conan O’Brien’s Tonight Show is bad. Conan stole both the Tonigh Show and Leno’s Tonight act from him. O’Brien doesn’t have the stand-up or comic chops to host Tonight.

The 11:30pm Tonight Show Leno left was a fun fast-paced entertaining show.

What’s up with Leno’s 10:00pm show? Why did the NBC executives and Leno change his 10:00pm show? It’s worst than Conan’s 11:30pm Tonight Show. Leno’s new show doesn’t work. He completely butchered his old Tonight Show. Everything that was fun on his old 11:30pm Tonight he abandoned on his 10:00pm “The Jay Leno Show”. They changed both the lay-out and format of the new show.

Where are the musical acts, animals acts, cooking segments? Where are the guests? Where is the desk?

Most of Leno’s new correspondents are bad and their comedy pieces are stupid. Where is the comedy? Where are the laughs?

Leno’s new show has already been reduced to a tired desperate 2nd rate program. It’s has an awkward and uncomfortable look and feel to it.

There is a real void in late night right now.

    I miss Leno’s old 11:30pm Tonight Show.

Dave Letterman isn’t funny. He’s been telling the same “I’m stupid” joke for the last 15 years.

Craig Ferguson could have a good show if he were on earlier at 11:30pm and got rid of the puppets because he is a good interviewer and he is good with his guests.

    Jimmy Fallon, please, enough said!

Questions for Bill Gorman and Robert Seidman:

As low the ratings are for both Leno’s 10:00pm prime-time and Conan’s 11:30pm shows, do the shows generate enough advertising revenue considering the production costs of the shows, Leno’s and Conan’s big salaries to make them as or more profitable as their old late night 11:30pm and 12:30am shows?

What do local affiliates think about Leno’s low rated 10:00pm lead-in to their 11:00pm news?

With November sweeps here, and the once #1 rated “late night leader” Tonight Show for about the last 15 years losing it’s first sweeps and falling to a distant 3rd place, how much longer is NBC going to stick with this Leno/Conan train wreck?

If the NBC suits were smart, which they are not, they would put Leno back on to do the real 11:30pm Tonight Show as quickly as possible and try to salvage their once proud late night franchise. Following Leno at 12:30am, they should put Chelsea Handler on because she is the only one who is funny on late night right now.

With as bad as NBC’s prime-time programming is, and now their late night, how to Jeff Zucker and the NBC executives keep their jobs?

  6. mark says:

    Razorblade Suitcase.

  7. Elie Muller says:

At this point, We should watch 2 great late night shows. 1: The late show with david letterman. 2: Last Call with carson daly. Come on! David Letterman is the king of late night with johnny carson, and carson daly really wanted late night. And besides, more people love carson daly than jimmy fallon. So, that’s why carson daly and david letterman are your men for late night. The best woman late night show is the monique show. There you have it! The only best late night talk shows today!

  8. TSA says:

Are there no numbers this week? Thursday was Thanksgiving, so maybe the gracious people who run this fine site forgot?
