I tell you what this show has found a rebirth and it seems to be one of the few NBC shows with a future.
DAYS is must-see daytime TV these days.
Allison Sweeney, James Scott and Arrianne Zucker have to be the most valuable actors in daytime history. They can literally portray a scene dipicting any situation from an explosion to a game of checkers and make it exciting. Josh Taylor is also a favorite. The entire cast is top notch…but I sure miss seeing Grandma Alice Horton on the air, and Thao Phenglis’ departure seems such waste to me. I’ll have to trust that it was nessecary to the storyline, which has been terrific lately.
Great-Great-Great and probably Great-Grandma Alice is apparently too ill in real life to ever be on TV again. To recast would be a sin. So let’s hope they will show some nice clips of Tom & Alice this Christmas. Maybe they could even bring Mickey back for a day anyway to carve the Christmas turkey while Julie and Doug hang the ornaments.
Days doing much better than expected. Allison Sweeney is becoming one of NBC’s best assets. Her role on “Days” and hosting “Biggest Loser”. Knowing NBC, they will want her on “Heroes” next lol…
Who would’ve thought NBC Daytime would be one of the few shining spots on NBC’s schedule.
Good to see Days on the upswing.
Days has really come into it’s own lately. The story lines have been great, but would be nice to see old favorites Steve Kayla and John and Marlena not the discovery of the baby switch.Kudos for days let’s keep it going.
Allison Sweeney? do the math and see when Days started to gain more viewers…October? Hmmmm,Crystal who?
Hahahaha! Days has been on the upswing for an entire year. Not just this past October when that stupid Crystal Chappell came on.
My hope is that Comcast will put faith back into the daytime genre on NBC and open it back up in full business and maybe try to money back into it or open up another soap behind DAYS.
If Francis Reed (a shout out here…we love you!) isn’t going to be on the air this Christmas as Grandma, maybe a vintage episode from when Tom and Alice, all their kids, Doug and Julie, and a young Bo and Hope are hanging the ornaments on the tree could be aired…perhaps adding that favorite scene of Roman (Wayne Nortrup) sneeking into the hospital dressed as Santa to read the Christmas Story to a young Cary. It always makes me cry, (in a good way)…
By the way…where’s the ratings for daytime?…enough ‘press releases’ from NBC and ABC…let’s see the hard facts!
…if Crstal Chappel didn’t deliver the goods for GL, why would she put DAYS over the top? We like her character much better this time around, with the dry humor and quick delivery, but Alison Sweeney is bringing in those primetime NBC fans to Days, with the pivotol closure, (or is it?) of a terrific ‘Baby Grace/Baby Sidney’ story. My gut feeling is Nicole hasn’t quit yet. Who knows what her manipulative, intelligent, devious character will devise next!
gotta love days its at its best its been in sometime and with the reveal of the baby switch that will only shoot days higher in the ratings plus with carly and vivan days will continue to blast away the other 6 soaps in the ratings i hope that days takes the #1 spot away from y&r and with the writing on days its all looking up for a rosy outlook on the peacock network corday& company keep it up and keep the sand flowing through the hourglass for many years to come
I’m loving Days. Its become the Days we all know and love. With Allison Sweeny and James Scott on kanvas the skys the limit! These two are the best characters and actors Days has had in the last decade. I do miss Tony and Doug and Julie! Wouldn’t mind seeing Caroline and Roman more often as well.
