Everyone seemed down on Friday (except for O’Reilly).
Wonder why
Fridays are always the lowest numbers for the week on all the networks.
Great numbers for a Friday night. Just amazing to me the respect and loyaslty of the FOX viewer. Truly America’s News Headquarters!

Rosie, I saw your post on the last thread. I always check all of the threads on the first page when I notice there are more posts.

The other networks could make a change tomorrow. It’s not hard to hire a newsroom of reporters with diverse views and attitudes, and it would be exciting to see. But all the networks (except Fox) seem to want ardent Democrats in all the key jobs. So who can be surprised when they resort to cheerleading instead of reporting?
Honestly, these folks would rather disappear than give up their ideology. Hence we see a situation such as Friday, when Olbermann falls behind Nancy Grace and Maddow can’t keep up with the senile Larry King. If the current trend continues, both of them will soon be pulling fewer viewers than Sham-Wow informercial in Spanish.

It’s sad that Youtube completley wiped that video of Adam Lambert performing at the American Music Awards just because people got offended by it. That’s the way it works in this country now. If someone does or says something controversial and enough people complain about it you can get completley silenced. I’m just surprised this Political Correctness BS worked against a gay person, usually they’re one of the groups that get protected by Political Correctness.

Frankly, I don’t think highering the best personalities in the country would make the other networks competetive with Fox News. The simple fact is most people don’t trust CNN or MSNBC. And can you blame them? Not only is their to much spin; but they hardly or don’t even cover stories they don’t like (ACORN and Van Jones for example).
Breitbart’s Big Government website just broke another ACORN scandle. They have videotape of ACORN employees dumping evidencce in a trash bin behind their office. The independant reported who staked out the place (because the Attorney General won’t), found 20,000 documents containing sensetive material including thousands of contacts, drivers liscens, credit card numbers, social security numbers, birth certificates, voters they’ve registered, shady deals…..you name they found it.
A press conference will be held on Tuesday. How many people believe CNN or MSNBC will cover it when it breaks? After people start going to jail CNN might mention it, and MSNBC will start defending ACORN (ACORN’s website features a poorly made defense by Maddow on the prostitution scandle). Fox already featured this story on their website (and will no doubt run with it tomorrow).
That’s why people watch Fox. Just REPORT THE NEWS! Leave the spinning to pundints and editorials – but AT LEAST report it. As long as CNN and MSNBC rely on NYT’s, most won’t watch.

On the other hand, one might also surmise that Fox News could be an attractive dumping ground for the Republican party–it just might keep the “teabaggers” distracted while the party rapidly distances itself from a politically toxic fringe. 1. One reason O’Reilly upheld his high ratings on Friday while others saw theirs diminish: Part two of his three-part interview with Sarah Palin.
2. I believe Larry O’Donnell was in for Keith Olbermann again on Friday, as is appears to be status quo of late. Meanwhile, I see “MSNBC Special” pre-empted the replays… WTF, why don’t they just start their weekend “doc blocks” on Fridays at 5 PM now?

Dude, if you’re impressed by this ACORN stuff, you’re more than a decade behind the times (I’m from “Obama’s neighborhood,” and I’ve never voted for him), and the fact that you’re lapping it up as something novel merely supports the thesis that Fox News is a nothing but a scheme by The Man to generate hysterical reactions as a diversion from the Real Agenda.
