Friday November 6, for whatever reasons was a weak Friday for some shows, with several seeing season-lows. Things rebounded on November 13, and even moreso on 11/20. Friday Monk averaged 5.296 viewers as it heads towards its series finale and White Collar averaged 4.559 million. Both shows averaged a 1.2 rating with adults 18-49.
A week earlier (11/13) Monk averaged 4.387 million and White Collar 4.278 million. The week before that (11/6) Monk averaged 4.266 million while White Collar averaged 3.848 million.

You mean that Monk and New Moon don’t share a significant common audience? Color me surprised!
Chief, more playing on a Friday meme where some fans tried to assert that ratings were down for their favorite shows on Thursday night because of the early New Moon premiere that night (I do buy it perhaps having a little impact on the Vampire Diaries, but otherwise…). The dead horse has probably been beaten too hard, but I figure at least it distracted me from bad Devin Hester New Moon puns.
I may be wrong but wasn’t ratings slightly down for Wednesday as well? My guess is they down mainly because it’s the week before Thanksgiving
I think its a valid argument to say that Twilight may have affected Vampire Diaries. I don’t watch Vampire Diaries but from what I can tell they would seem to share a fanbase. I have to agree with Chief about these two shows though. I doubt Monk and White Collar are must see TV for teen girls.
Last week’s episode of White Collar was fun to watch, this show has grown on me like Burn Notice.
Love Monk, starting to get into White Collar but it hasn’t hooked me yet, last weeks was pretty good though.
Not a Teenage girl (71 here), but love both Monk, Vampire Diaries and New Moon. One of my favorite new shows is White Collar, but I did wait until Friday during the day to see New Moon and only about 25 people were there to watch with me.lol
I have never liked Monk more than this season. How the writers were able to produce a consistently entertaining program on a one joke premise is one of the miracles of television. I will really miss it.
