Update: the data has arrived…
Another week, another Nielsen ratings delay. No news on why, nor timeline for getting them but weekly broadcast primetime ratings for the week ending November 22 are delayed (we typically would have had them ~4 hours ago). That in turn delays the broadcast network weekly ratings, the season to date ratings, and the latest Renew / Cancel index posts.

I think they’ll have to have another layoff.
I’m confused- you already have the number for each date, right? So can’t you (or the network PR people) just type the numbers into a calculator and average them?
Micheal, it all comes from Nielsen. We don’t calculate the averages ourselves. In our case, it’d just be a massive amount of work. For the networks, I assume it’s a matter of just wanting to go with the official Nielsen numbers.
NBC ABC and Fox have put out press releases basically saying “here are the results for last week, but “CBS’s averages currently do not include Sunday’s NFL overrun and post-game show and are subject to revision”). Since we get our show and averages data directly from Nielsen, if they don’t send them out, we’ve got nothing.
