UNIVISION’S MUSIC COMPETITION “¡VIVA EL SUEÑO!” (LIVE THE DREAM!) 3-HOUR GRAND FINALE most-viewed telecast, reaching 7.2 MILLION VIEWERS




MIAMI, FL, NOVEMBER 24, 2009 – Last night’s three-hour grand finale of “¡Viva el Sueño!” (Live The Dream!) on Univision broke audience records for the show, reaching 7.2 million Viewers 2+ who watched all or part of the broadcast.   The finale generated its highest average audience levels in the program’s full-run among key demographics including Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. In fact, the three-hour finale drew over 1.3 million more Total Viewers 2+ than its average audience in its three-month run including 678,000 more Adults 18-49 and 358,000 more Adults 18-34 viewers.

    I am strongly against Univision for the simple fact that it’s an American television station but it doesn’t provide optional English subtitles. It seems to me that it wants to prevent it’s audience from learning English so they don’t jump ship to a different network. Subtitles would be nice since I am the only non-spanish speaker in my home and Univision is always on…
