I assume those 15 minutes are for Past Life. Wow, it did even worse than I was expecting.

If you really think about it, how many shows have been in that timeslot in the past month? like 3 shows. Human Target, Kitchen Nightmares, and now Past Life. Maybe if FOX were to let a show grow in that timeslot, it would do better.

    Good for Lost!!

That’s rather grim for Past Life. What kind of numbers did Human Target get in the post idol slot?

Ugh! That is absolutely awful for Past Life. I’m not sorry, though, because I didn’t much enjoy the show. It brought nothing special to the table. I think people didn’t tune in because they were not interested in the concept. Also, I’m not sure how much promotion the show got during Idol since I didn’t watch the commercials, but that could have had a big impact. The number of people tuning out during the episode should say something about what they thought of it!

NCIS: LA was crossover, I didn’t watch 114 yet, but if 115 is a crossover, I will immediately watch it.

Quick answers will be apreciated. :)

Wow at Past Life. Don’t really know who will miss it, though. The premise is utterly dumb and apparently the execution doesn’t give much either.

I’m guessing this makes Fringe look better.

Considering most people knew the first episode by heart, because the promo literally gave everything away, I just like FOX am not surprised by Past Life not doing well. However I think the premise isn’t too bad. Human Target is another dud. Hopefully FOX realizes the screw up and it works out well for both Fringe and Lie to Me. Depending on Kiefer 24 could be done, human target is horrible, Past Life isn’t looking good ( Deep End 2.0) and SYTYCD might just air during the summer time again. So I hope something gives soon, would rather see Fringe and Lie To Me return then watch these mid-season replacement crap.

Argh, 2.4 fir the second half hour of past life… Well I guess this is “good”for Fringe, well at least it can’t be bad!

So past life is done, now let’s see how will human target do tonight, and Idol too.

    Lost at 5.0, I’m impressed

This isn’t the end of scripted TV. Look at Lost’s or Big Bang’s or NCIS’s numbers. “Past Life” is just a ridiculous show and one wonders why it got on the air. It’s not so much because of its premise but because the plot of the premiere episode had so many illogical loopholes.

wow, almost everyone tuned out after Idol, and many of those who didn’t tuned out fifteen minutes into past life. I’m predicting as low as a 2.1 for Thursday’s episode.

Why hasn’t there been a DVR ratings post since early December? Do you not get them anymore and is there a website where I could find that data?

NCIS:LA was really good these last couple of eps. I’ve loved the show since the beginning but now it seems like the cast finally… “clicked”. IMHO, it’s becoming better than the original! It’s just as funny but not as juvenile in its humor.

The way Shane and his team choose to follow as humor is I think wrong. It seems sometimes to me that it as absurd, they do only because NCIS is making it cool, and they have to but it seems not natural. Every episode after the intro… Music and humor between G and Sam, or any other couple…

But the show is really hot and cool. Action really satsifies me. :D

Lie to Me keeps looking better and better.
It’s possible that FOX would air a few Lie to Me episodes after Idol this season. Last year it retained a larger audience than Human Trget, Past Life and Fringe.

After everything I read here and everywhere else, I almost just deleted Past Life’s Premier from my DVR but then I remembered how many shows have great PR and turn out to be horrible and how many shows all the critics and internet buzz slam and turn out to be decent or even the greatest new show. I decided to watch it while going to bed figuring I can fall asleep after 5 minutes and miss nothing or end up with a decent creepy show to watch late night in the creepy dark.

I’m pleasantly surprised with the show and disappointed that from all the “buzz”, it doesn’t matter that I enjoyed it, it’s going, going, gone! With a well-established primetime/movie actor and a well-established daytime actress, they aren’t a complete cast of newbies (which I personally would have no problem with), it should have a bit of a chance.

If you didn’t watch because of the buzz and you enjoy creepy, unique, shows with a different premise than most primetime typical medical or crime dramas, you might actually like it. The main problem I have is the ease with which they seem to quickly convince skeptics in the “system”/legal etc “establishment” that someone has a reincarnated soul/spirit/person possessing them. Although reincarnation is “not believable” to some people, it’s tv and anything can be made believable enough to make a good show, but convincing the establishment and the people in it -that’s a whole different ballgame and they should have stayed away from it or made it more realistic like convincing skeptics over time(in the storylines), several episodes or something because that just doesn’t happen in a day or two, and certainly not by blurting out what you believe is happening.

The lesser-known actor who is the former cop whose wife died is actually dead-pan funny. He has lines that might be stupid or un-impressive by someone else but he delivers them in a great straight faced way that makes you laugh 30 seconds later when it registers.

It could be tweaked to make the story better here and there on how it is resolved and you can remove political slams and/or “jokes” because they don’t belong in a non-political show (not just from this show but from all entertainment shows that are not based on politics) but it was way better than anticipated and I’m glad I didn’t delete it.

Even on it’s worse day, it isn’t the same old story that is told on almost every other primetime drama show on tv these days.
